Confundus does not require the caster to see their target, nor does it require a wand, all the caster needs to do is know the general location of their victim.

Ok, here is what happens. The predator gets sick of slamming his head against the wall trying to kill this kid. He sends a communication to his homeworld instructing them to enlist the aid of Voldemort to teach them the death spell (since all their advanced tech is apparently useless) and destroy this scourge that is housed in Hogworts before it enslaves the universe.
After doing so Preddy activates his nuke, taking both him and Harry out in the process. 3 months later an entire army of predators lands on earth and lays siege to the castle, killing everyone and possibly saving God himself from the powers within.
Pre-emptive rebuttal to RJ "Harry just lands and protego's himself to shield the blast". 3 days go by with Harry hiding in the shield. Facing starvation and thirst he lowers it and is killed by the remaining nuclear fallout.
