No matter what, Potter is human. Pred has thermal vision. He watches Potter, who will eventually have to land to eat, drink, sleep, take a dump, piss, or just get to a place where theres a decent oxygen density.

Pred watches, Potter lands in the forest, Potter loses his head and spine.
