"Oh?" Rand says, curious. "What did you find?"
-
Dak and the Lieutenant arrive at the Final Frontier Cantina shortly before Xavier's fight is due to start! You find Galder watching from the stands, and bets are being placed on who is going to win.
Xavier- V'r'ada steps into the ring, moving with weird slinky-like steps. His body is mainly just thin, muscular tentacles, with a single massive eye on a stalk where his head should be. Not a species you've come across before.
He says nothing and just kind of... sways in place, staring. It makes you uncomfortable.
"That corroborates with some of what I have learned," Rand says. "Rumors, of course, since nobody on this forsaken rock cares much for history."
-
Go go go! Better do well on this, Xavier- you have an audience! You spot Dak and Galder in the stands with a hunter.
Evens on initiative gives you the go ahead as the creature stands there, swaying awkwardly. And you're off to a good start, here- you roll twelve dice since it has no defenses and is using Assault! You punch it in the eye for 9 damage, causing it to loll about for a moment before locking onto you.
One of its tentacles lashes out and wraps around the hand you punched it with. It constricts tightly on your wrist to the point of causing pain, and you take 6 damage as it squeezes.

Xavier is going to need to roll five successes to pull free, or he will continue inflicting damage like this. You cannot act until you are untangled.
"I sense him nearby," Rand says. He steps away from the bar and takes a moment to collect himself before walking in the direction of the fight club, meaning Rand and Rianna can join Dak and Galder in the stands.
The Lieutenant looks over the lot of you and raises an eyebrow.
"You're an odd-looking bunch," he says.
Rand is distracted by Galder whining about the stupid tentacle thing that beat him. Rand does not seem pleased that Xavier is currently fighting the damn thing, let alone that Galder and Xavier entered the Fight Club knowing they would need to go into the jungle.
Rand says the tentacle thing is... something none of you can pronounce, with a lot of wet squishing noises that Rand makes and the odd vowel.
"Mindless killing machines," Rand says. "Very rare breed. What the hell is that doing here?"
The Lieutenant, meanwhile, agrees that Sael is probably dead.
"There's a reason we go out in large numbers," the Lieutenant says.
