"Xavier, with me!" Dak will rush the Leader and attack him in a furious blur. Tap CH for +6 attack pool.

"With ya Dak," Xavier says as he makes his way to the leader.

"What is that droid going on about though, enforcements you think?"

The Leader willing engages when you take initiative. Together, Xavier and Dak tackle the Leader in a rapid series of sparks and flashes as their lightsabers snip and snap at the Leader's shielded sword-things and try to find a way past. He is able to keep up but takes 23 damage regardless.

Rand and his probe take down three of the natives! They're almost done.

Dak promptly takes a strike across the jaw from the Leader. There is an awful crackle as energy transfers from the shield into your hide, causing some of your scales to literally pop off and leaving a hideous burn on the raw flesh beneath. The impact also breaks your jaw. Dak is down for the count.

Rand narrowly chops a needle out of the air before it hits him while Xavier comfortably avoids any trouble. The probe was blaring alarms due to its damage warning. One last needle gives it a jolt that shuts down its systems and it plummets.

It must be said, Rianna- you are finding it hard to move! You have awful muscle spasms when you try.

Dak- you are in tremendous pain! You thought these things were old training sabers.

Dak writhes on the ground, shuddering from the blinding pain. He weakly tries to push himself away from the battle, cursing in his head.

They must have turned up the power on those things. They should have only been able to deliver light burns.

"Where did they even get these weapons?" Rianna mutters, irritatedly.

Useld skittishly reaches out and grabs one from the Warrior that Xavier took down.

"They're extremely old," he says after a brief examination. "Left in the ruins, maybe? Some sort of tradition weapon? Not very effective I'd say."

"Can I see?" Rianna asks.

You are a bit out of things to really study this weapon. Those spasms aren't stopping.

...well, grrr then. Rianna will complain that whatever it is they have as weapons, they're more than effective enough.

(you are horrible to us 😛)

Were we even meant to win this?

It was possible!

Xavier will tap OGu this turn, and continue to attack the leader.

Rand should do something extremely forcey to attack as many as he can 😛

Xavier and the Leader fiercely exchange blows, both wielding dual weapons in a flashy battle as they snap each other's swords away from themselves and try to find openings. The Leader is being backed up the steps when Xavier comes in for a strike, bringing both sabers down on one of the Leader's swords. With his Guard tap, Xavier yields seven successes and the might from his hit manages to break the shielding on the old weapon. There is a hiss as the shield gives out and a snap as the sabers go through the metal framing. The Leader takes 13 damage as he bends backward to avoid being sliced open himself.

But Xavier loses his balance in taking out the sword, and the Leader capitalizes on this. A smack to Xavier's leg causes pain enough to distract him and 5 damage. Then, tapping Twin Weapons, the Leader inflicts this damage again. He drives fizzling hilt of his broken sword into Xavier's arm to push it away from his body, then puts his good sword in a powerful upswing that connects with Xavier's elbow.

Xavier goes down his his elbow reversed and arm burning.

Xavier hits the ground from the sudden attacks.

He looks around to see how Rand did.

It was possible!

Somehow I'm doubting that.

😛

Think what you will!

Xavier finds out how well Rand did when the Leader turns to find Rand standing alone at the height of the steps, the natives dead at his feet. The Leader starts to advance on him, but Rand taps Orthodox Guard and swiftly runs the Leader through. The Leader drops his swords and tries to grab at the lightsaber blade, which only succeeds in removing some of his fingers as he dies.

Rand deactivates his lightsaber.

"The Temple is ours," Rand announces grimly. "I would have thought that would have been easier..."

Rand is pulling out what remains of his medical supplies and must decide who to tend to. Therefor, decide among yourselves who receives treatment!

Might be a good idea to treat whoever has Medicine first, so they can help with the others...

Unfortunately, none of you have high enough Medicine ratings to get each other back on your feet, even with supplies.

Dak will... uh... die out in this accursed jungle, then?
