STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Holocron

You could make a way down.

Then it seems an ideal time to do so!

You quickly cut yourself a hole in the grate, making extra noise and light and effort by doing so! You drop into the command center where a group of terrified civilian workers are crouched under their desks.

There are also three colonial guards protecting them, with their blasters at the ready! One of which you recognize... the Lieutenant with his sniper rifle! Oh boy...

Dak barely pauses. "The Jedi are here to save you from this menace! Lieutenant, I see you got back safely..."

The Lieutenant does not lower his rifle when the others do.

"If you're here to help, why is one of yours running rampant around the starport killing people?"

It is then that you see a security screen of Galder smashing people down with an electro-staff and dancing out of the way before Rianna comes in and stabs them to death as well.

"He just became a victim of an ancient Sith artifact. His mind is clouded. You won't be able to stop him without our help."

Xavier stands up shaking his head up and down determined. He knows Rand is out there. He looks to the men beside him as they heroically stand ready to fight.

This is it Xavier think to himself. This is my chance for a new beginning, a fresh start, and a new life! He thinks for the briefest moment he can have peace finally, but then that cold thing creeps into his mind to remind Xavier what he really is.

Xavier....XxxxXAaaVeerrrr... did you forgot about me did you forget what you really are. Think about everything that is about to happen. The odds, the way things will play out for you should you do this. Don't pretend to be something you are not!

Xavier who just a few moments ago had been standing proud lowers his head in shame. He closes his eyes and thinks hard.

He may have an army behind him, but so does Rand. The gateway will come down even if Rand has to tear apart with the force. In a one on one fight Xavier might get lucky against Rand although it would be a tough fight and probably leave him wounded afterwards and than there are the others.

Xavier looks over his shoulder to the city towards his fellows psychos. He can't know for sure if they would side with him. They all hate Rand even more so than Xavier does. Rianna, even if she won't admit it, is similar to him in that they both lived in the temple she knows the shame of falling from grace. She may also share his sentiment and join him. Galder has been looking for some kind of reason to live and glory perhaps this could be it. Dak, with as much love as he has for himself, would probably enjoy the idea of helping rule another world. Or they could look at this is a great betrayal and kill him. Xavier can not take them all on by himself.

Plus he is still wanted by the Republic, should his whereabouts ever been known even here it would prove disastrous for him. That's when the cold hard truth sinks into Xavier's bones. He doesn't care enough about these people to risk that.

That's right Xavier. I'm just looking out for us before you make a foolish decision. I'm your friend here. You're not the hero, you're the villain.

The voice in his head gives a slight cackle at the end while Xavier looks over in disgust at the control panel, at what he is about to do.

The blood in his head seems to boil as he gets dizzy walking over to the buttons that control the gate.

His neck tightens and through clenched teeth Xavier mutters, "I hate us."

Xavier then opens the gateway and deactivates any automatic defenses he can before sabering the station so no one can undo what he did.

"Then what about her?" the Lieutenant asks as Rianna butchers the last five guards herself.

You sense danger, Dak.

-

Xavier- you slam your hand down on the switch that opens the enormous gate. Then quickly remove your hand and flash your lightsaber through the panel again and again before anyone can stop you.

The gate only opens about halfway as you destroy the controls.

Everything else is manual! And now you have men drawing their blasters on you.

-

Rianna- Galder is making a mad dash around the landing pad outside. He is taking the long way around to the docking bay where Paladin is docked, to avoid any internal defenses the starport has.

Rianna will keep after him, using Dash to catch up.

"I think the Sith may be affecting her too..."

Danger from where?

Xavier turns to the guys with blasters trained on him.

Xavier looks at them he knows his words have very little meaning here but he says them anyway, "I'm truly sorry for this."

He points his lightsabers and doesn't give them a chance to fire as he attacks.

Dak-

From the Lieutenant. He's not buying it.

-

Rianna-

Dash at this range will give you no signifcant advantage. And it looks like "Galder" is going to try shooting backward at you while he runs! At a penalty but still, incoming.

-

Xavier-

I'll need your schticks again! The presence of the Captain might change things for you.

Good thing Rianna has Coordination, and he's not a hugely great shot! So she'll keep running after him, using that, and basically ignoring the fact that he's shooting at her.

Xavier will go with CL, BGu, and PS

How close is the Lieutenant?

Also Xavier will make his way to the giant mortar. Best to deal with that quickly before it can be used in the defense of their colony.

Dak- the Lieutenant is within striking distance.

-

Xavier- will you be doing that or attacking the men on the walls first?

-

Rianna- while Galder is not a tremendous marksman, Rallo appears to be better than he is. He gets two 6s (with a Gunslinger conversion) and hits you for 5 damage.

He will fire two more times before reaching the hangar.

Rianna will use Ward, as well as a Saber Throw!

Rianna-

Your lightsabers go arcing through the air in a whirling purple and orange death strike, guided by your thoughts and outstretched hands as you dash after Galder.

With a simple gesture, Galder uses Lifting to wrench the blades from your mental grasp and then go spinning off in random directions.

It keeps him from firing, at least, saving you the Ward spend.

Xavier- I will take your first post as your starting action. I will note that the mortar is your objective, but things may change turn-by-turn.

You thrust your lightsabers into the two nearest militiamen before they have time to really analyze what you just did to the controls. The Jedi ruse is compromised, obviously.

The Captain realizes the treachery as the gate grinds open and starts shouting orders to bring you down!
