STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Holocron

Started by Newjak95 pages

Fine then Xavier goes and attacks the Walkers with the Speeder while he stills has plenty of troops.

Then Xavier goes straight into battle!

The main thoroughfare leading through the colony up to the Governor's Tower stands guarded by the largest concentration of militiamen and, of course, the walkers. You didn't imagine they could have many walkers this far out (they're hideously expensive and difficult to transport), but against the local warriors, they're very effective.

The Nokros-An barricade themselves in the rubble of destroyed structures, which works decently against the anti-personnel walkers - two pod-like walkers with spindly legs and single forward-firing cannons. These two lend support to a larger, heavier tripod walker, which is causing the greatest destruction for the advancing natives. In addition to a pair of rapid-fire mounted turrets, it sports one very large energy cannon...

Xavier will attack the heaviest walker's cannon. Let's do this!!!!

Xavier races onto the scene in his hijacked speeder, quite unexpected by the unorganized militia! The cannons on your speeder lack the pinpoint accuracy you would need to disable the heavy assault walker's main cannon, so your shots connect with the walker's armored front leg. 2 damage! Hmm...

The Warriors jump off your speeder and exchange fire with the militiamen, joining the other warriors in the battle. The exchange immediately clears the militiamen, who were advancing and not in cover.

The anti-personnel walkers pick out their targets and annihilate two of your mooks, their cannons strong enough to ignore cover by blasting through it. The mounted guns on the heavy walker perform similarly but only get one target.

It charges its main gun...

If Xavier crashed into the big Walker would that be enough to heavy damage it?

I'm think charge into it jump out at the last minute and began dissecting the other walkers with Sabers.

If not Xavier will again try to attack the big walker while drawing its fire.

It looks much more stable than the two walkers accompanying it. It would need a good Pilot roll, but you aren't sure ramming it would do much.

Armor doesn't stand up well to lightsabers, of course! And the speeder affords you protection against the walkers' guns.

Fine Xavier will drive towards the giant walker and at the last moment jump out to begin sabering it!!!!

Are you trying to crash the speeder into it or just jump out and attack?

Crash the Speeder into it!!!!!!!!!

6-3 puts Xavier driving like a crazy person directly for the heavy walker. Two successes on that Pilot check puts the speeder on a collision course as intended. Xavier jumps clear as the vehicle collides with the walker's thick frontward leg. The speeder explodes and causes minimal damage, but the walker finds itself delayed by the impact and does not fire this turn.

But the mini-walkers do. After proving impervious to the Nokros-An's needle-guns, they both engage in blasting away the cover of the Nokros-An where possible. Walker A obliterates a small building, while Walker B manages to take out a few Nokros-An.

The Warriors race up to assist you!

I assumed your Blade Schticks; feel free to change them out if you had something else in mind.

Can Xavier use fix it to find a weakness on walker. Regardless attack it. And the load out looks good

6-6, Evens.

You quickly discover that armor is no match for a lightsaber (duh) but that the AT-HA has a Defense rating and a point of Parry apply to attacking its legs as it can move them quickly to avoid your blows. Still, on a Lightsaber pool of 9, you score 11 damage.

Having run forward, the Warriors draw the attention of the lighter walkers and take some damage. They seem uncertain what to do now, repeatedly firing at the walkers for no effect.

The turrets on the walker aim for Xavier, scoring a hit for 5 damage. The walker repositions itself, holding off on firing its main gun. It rather defiantly stops on the wreckage of your speeder.

Xavier will leap unto the giant walker and began carving at it with his Saber.

Can Xavier tell the warriors to try and rope up the walkers like on hoth?

It will take your turn to jump up onto the top of the walker.

Unfortunately, the Warriors do not have rope on them.

On second though just keep attacking it from the ground.

In that case, the AT-HA will try to stomp on you with that massive front leg you just swung at.

Try to hack it off!!!!!!

Hacking off the leg functions the same as destroying the walker; you won't do it in one turn.

Can Xavier still jump on the Walker. If so he will do that. If not let's just hack the leg.

It's down to Initiative then... and 3-1 means that Xavier jumps clear before the walker can try stomping him to death. You leap up onto the walker. The anti-personnel turrets watch this and pivot to greet you. With Coordination in play (don't forget about it!), they both miss. You rapidly deflect away their rapid-fire lasers.

To your surprise, the Nokros-An attempt to mimic you. As impressive physical specimen, two manage to perform similar jumps onto the smaller walkers. They clamber up...

All three walkers, beset with climbers, make Pilot rolls to try shaking you all off.

The heavy walker has a Pilot score of 8, but rolls poorly- hard to maneuver in that thing, after all. You stay on just fine.

The smaller walkers manage to shake off the Nokros-An by swiveling back and forth rapidly. The Nokros-An take take 5 damage each from the fall.
