The turrets track you the whole way, spitting out laser fire, but you reach the cockpit before the pilot can try to shake you off again. Four successes is enough to pop the hatch and expose the driver, who is drawing a pistol...
The Nokros-An try to jump up on the walkers again, mainly to stop them from firing on their people. This time, one of the Warriors stays on when the walker tries to shake him off.
Xavier takes a hit for 10 damage when the turret guns pin him down at the cockpit.

The driver gets a shot off at you before you can swing your blades. Two successes for 5 damage. You respond by rolling 10 successes for a total of 16 damage. He's still up but you left nasty burns across his front and probably sliced up some of the walker's controls.
Walker A fails to shake off his Nokros-An hitchhiker, but Walker B shoots Warrior B into tiny pieces with a well-placed burst from its cannon. Warrior C jumps onto Walker B in retaliation.

It takes your turn to slide into the cockpit and familiarize yourself with the controls. The gunners further down the walker decide to climb out to try apprehending you.
Warrior A gets physically squashed by Walker A, the pilot of which has had enough of the whole 'getting jumped on' thing.
Warrior C takes damage trying to avoid cannon fire before jumping up onto Walker B again.

5-4, Initiative switches back to Xavier! You swing the main gun around and smack one of the gunners off the top of the walker. The other manages to duck just in time.
The Warrior makes for the hatch on Walker A and makes a Strength check to pull it open. He passes, prying it open just before the driver can try to shake him. The driver goes for his pistol instead.
Walker B opens fire on your commandeered vessel, scoring a hit for 3 damage.

Initiative goes to the bad guys... which means that the gunner reaches you before you can bat him off with the turret. He fires his pistol into your chest for 3 damage, incapacitating Xavier. You slump against the controls of the walker as the pain burns across your body, and the gunner moves in to finish you off... before a needle hits his neck with a thwip! and releases an electrical charge, frying him.
In return for saving you, the remaining Warrior gets blasted off of Walker A by Walker B, thrown bodily into a building. The walkers raze the building just to be sure.
Without the heavy walker holding up the advance of the Nokros-An, the militia forces must again retreat. But now Xavier finds himself in the middle of a warzone and badly injured.
