Wouldn't be bad at all, but it seems Bendis has control of them now.

Not by anyone on them currently, no.

Bendis rebooting the Avengers would be the worst idea in comics

Currently, but would still fall way behind FC overall...

Bendis will have the Avengers franchise until AvX wraps up and supposedly when the Thanos "saga" concludes in Avengers Assemble. Supposedly, after all that, is when the Ultron War arc will start.

Marvel's gone on record to say that they won't be doing a company line reboot/retcon in the vein of DC, so I'm going to hope that they don't. Because, let's be honest, all a reboot will do is make Wolverine and Hulk the founders of the Avengers.

and the most powerful people in the universe....

Which is sad, they could benefit from one. But With their current staff the result would be horrible.

Not really.

And besides, have you read X-Men or Avengers lately? They could do with a reboot, tbh.

No, I have not. All comics get stale sooner or later.

Dollars aren't the end all be all but as a company making money is your number one concern.

Money doesn't mean comic quality, phrase it as you wish, the fact won't change.
Quality is subjective whereas making money is not.

That isn't an excuse for making a shoddy product.

There are plenty of examples of quality work making a lot of money. Look at Avengers, for example. And yes, I mean the movie, not the horrible comic.

Saying something is shoddy is subjective. Take twilight for instance. I don't like it but that's just my opinion. It makes a ton of money so it's very successful.

It doesn't look good. I loved dark avengers but haven't read the current stuff. I will once the Thanos stuff hits. That's only due to Thanos. I for one am not pleased he's involved in this avengers comic. I don't want him showing up every year.

Successful does not automatically equate to good, though.

I never said it did as good is subjective. Making money is what these companies want. That's their primary goal.

And?
That marvel is doing quite well at the moment.

So as long as Marvel makes a lot of money even if they put out crap every month, you'd be happy?

Financially, yes. So?

Both companies are doing well. Hell, comics in general are doing better than they have been. It's a good time to be a fan.

I liked it better when Marvel actually had a Cosmic universe, I have mixed feelings about the X-men and dropped most Avengers titles. FF and Cap continue to keep me interested, but I'd argue that just two years ago the panorama was better than it is now.

Yeah, Marvel only has a few good ones. I'd say FF is good as well. Uncanny X-Force is also pretty good.

Marvel likes making good smaller minis, while promoting shitty big minis and throwing their big stars into everything.

A good mini recently was Vengeance. It had quite a few stars in it. Good stuff.
