Looks like Thanos is coming back...

So Thanos is gonna mindrape Hulk into attacking the Avengers, eh?

It looks like it, unless Marvels intentionally trying to mislead us.

No, Thanos hires the Hulk to take down the Avengers.

What I want to know is: what does Rage thinks of this covert?

Because, the way I see it, Thor isn't at his best on this!

Cover art can be quite deceptive and misleading. This cover was a prime example:

...Or Hulk really WILL tool Thor and lift Mjolnir. Don't care either way, tbh.

Spoiler:
I wonder how Drax came back to life.

And why Peter Quill is blonde and wearing a costume from 20 years ago...

Nice find.

Though, tbh, I don't really buy into the following:

"The problem that he's maybe had -- not to speak too much for him -- and the problem we've had in general with cosmic is that we want to attract the widest possible audience. Any series that has a large footprint outside of the world we know can be harder to do that with. For example, for me as a reader back in the '70s, when a book like 'Thor' would spend a few months out in Asgard fighting off an incursion by the trolls, I would very quickly lose interest. There was nothing there to connect to my world. The stakes involved are nothing I'm into. There are some people who are very into that, but I wasn't one of them as a reader. And those were the times I'd drift away from 'Thor' for a while.

"I think the same thing tends to be true of the cosmic stuff," Brevoort continued. "There are guys who tend to love cosmic, whether it's for the military sci-fi aspect of it or the trippy, mind-bending expansiveness of the '70s cosmic material or whatever. There are some people who really, really dig that. But to a lot of the rank and file fans, there's no context to it...you need something there to key into and connect to. My expectation is that's what Brian will do when he plays with these cosmic elements, and really, that's the reason he hasn't done more with this stuff in the past. It's just a more difficult nut to crack. He's played with a lot of different areas of the Marvel U in 'Avengers' up to this point, but he's never done a big, space-oriented story until now. And even then, that story starts on earth with these 12 regular humans who are imbued with the power of the Zodiac by Thanos, and the hows and whyfors of that will be explained over the coming issues."

Generally, so long as the books are good, fans love cosmic arcs and titles. I, for one, don't feel this need to have to personally relate to every single character I read about in order to enjoy the stories they're in. Silver Surfer, for example...I have virtually nothing in common with Norrin on any level. Heck, even Thor, my favorite super hero in Marvel, I don't really "identify" with outside of some of the family issues he's had.

As far as Bendis goes, there's no secret he's much more in his element dealing with street level stories.

Where the hell is Nova?

Anyway, I'm scared of this. At first look, it's aweome, but it's probably a trap, there's a landmine burried under the good stuff.

Yep

Notice Thor is already out

Marvel has really gone downhill.

Man, from all the things Bendis could write he had to tackle the Guardians, the one thing I will buy, only beaten by a Kang mini 🙁

He better be on the top of his game and do the minimal research.

Previews can be misleading too. If Hulk did knock Thor out, it's probably going to be a cheap-shot because Thor didn't expect it. If not, then they're really screwing over Thor to make Hulk look good (I guess in line with the movie).

Yeah the avengers movie just passed a billion. Get real. Better than a reboot any day of the week. Dc struggles with continuity every ten years or so. Good luck with that.

It was 26 years between COIE and Flashpoint

Infinite Crisis also changed the landscape as did zero hour.

Now that I think about it, how the hell did nova survive the cancerverse blowing up? Or Thanos and Quill for that matterC?
