I've already broken the case down. Thanos is in another league can and has negated speed when he has to. Superman's strength and speed won't change this.

Surfer used his traveling speed to which Thanos moved. Neither superman or surfer can fight at their fastest traveling speed.

Thanos reacted to Ganymede who speedblitzed Surfer and a Tyrant robot at ftl speeds.
