CHARACTER RULING THREAD - Suggestions

Bada and Pr already said they won't do that crap.

I think a lot of people are taking this "ruling" thing to be something it isn't.

The rulings are more about doing away with misconceptions and trying to make characters get treated fairly.

At no point are we going to say "Character A is x tons strong, or x mph fast".

We're going to be as vague as we can be, while still providing guidelines.

People need to start giving more detail with high intellect characters using prep. for example whats the point of making a doom vs thread, with him having one week prep, if everyone is always gonna say doom wins. give him one hour prep and no matter who he is up against people are still gonna say he wins.

Unless he is up against Kyle GL, Superman, Or Thanos. then there is a little competition there depending on who is on, you catch my drift

Anyways People need to had details on what they would do exactly with their prep.

Gladiator.

The "fully confidence" schtick/board myth really needs to be put away. None of the comics he's been in support him being anything less than fully confident outside of the times where his confidence has specifically waned. Treating it like an amp and therefore acting like that means we can only discuss high end feats like its the norm for him is ridiculous. Not to mention "he's close to PC Superman" style arguments.

Per standard board rules, I'd think Gladiator begins fully confident which is basically normal Gladiator that we see in most comics. It doesn't mean he's significantly more powerful than he is normally.

All right, basically, Badabing and I are working on a "Character Ruling" thread, where certain characters will be better defined under the forum rules, and as such, should be easier to debate. It will serve to destroy misconceptions about certain characters, which can only help people.

Examples of this are things like defining Hulk's "base" level, and what "Full Confidence" Gladiator means, which Badabing and I have already decided on.

So this thread is for people to submit their own ideas. If it's a good enough idea and Badabing and I like it enough, it will end up in the thread, and will set the tone for the entire forum.

So yes, we're giving you fine people the chance to influence the forum itself. So please, post (reasonable) suggestions.

Okay, here are some of this decisions Pr and I have agreed:

Batman never loses.

Hulk is strongest.

Flash is really fast.

The word "Bub" accompanied with the sound "snikt" nets Wolverine 3/10 wins right at the go.

Quan's Thanos is = to Trick's Darkseid and >>> the Nihilist/Kurupt Thanos.

Guy Gardner is the GL superme.

Cyclops is a top notch team leader.

what about carver's gladiator, and rage's thor?

Excuse me? 🤨 Unlike Quan, I have never mis-represented feats or overstated Darkseid's power. I have supported myself every time with scans and direct showings. I am frankly, insulted that I am being compared to a Thanos cocksucking bitch like Quanchi.

It's painfully obvious that Thanos has no business claiming to be in that weight class and that any direct battle is a mismatch. And even with Thanos's new showings, he has not shown himself to be skyfather level.

The higher showings tend to be more indicative of what a character can do when all bets are off. There are exceptions though. Say a character does some uber feat, or shows a power/capability they've never shown before or since. I would consider that PIS.
