Basically, you let the characters tell the story.
It's the basis of the forum, and the CIP ruling. We're debating characters here, not powersets. Sure, I'd love to be able to say Superman blitzes Hulk from the outset and tears off his head (which I would do), but he wouldn't do that, so I can't say it.
But that's me.

can you reconcile this with:the first seems to insinuate that because Flash doesn't blitz all his opponents at FTL, that we should consider that in a forum fight, where the second almost explicitly says that sort of "holding back" isn't relevant to the forum...
it's the "still within the character's personality" part.
that's the part we're trying to stress here.

I am completely against this whole idea. It was just this kind of thing that ruined CBR.
could you elaborate, please?

that's the right way to go about it.

For example on there they had "mod rulings" made that, for example, Doomsday and Hulk didn't have superhuman speed, and anyone arguing against that would get banned no matter what evidence they provided.
Pr and I hate reffing debates. And we would never warn/ban someone who disagrees with a mod. Except maybe Carver...mmm
J/K Carver. 😛

I think we should ban all "god-analogues" (TOAA, presence, primal monitor, HOTU) from being used. I can't think of a single non-stupid discussion these characters have generated and they usually just boil down to flaming because people have no way to actually prove anything.

Tearing a head off isn't sadistic. Crushing someone's knees, elbows, and ankles but leaving them alive is sadistic.

Very important question: Is there some sort of level that would constitute as "starving, hungry, average, well fed, or full" galactus? Because people seem to see large differences in power from say one hungry galactus to another.
Originally posted by Endless MikeThis is exactly why cbr isn't really about debating. They enforce their opinions which is the worst thing a board can do. Enforce the rules when necessary but you can't just outlaw opinions. Cbr is trash.

Originally posted by Black bolt zGalactus does need discussed. I would prefer scans which illustrate him at "starving", "50%" and "full".

Originally posted by quanchi112As long as people agree that Batman and Hulk win, we won't have any problems here. sneer
