He spent most of his life training in one of the oldest forms of combat weestling striking is not his stick if he werent a good wrestling Cheick Kong would have beat him standing. Anderson Silva, Gsp, Bj Penn, Fedor, Jose Aldo, Frankie Edgar, Brock Lesnar, Rampage all champs or former champs have trained in some form of combat since they were young teenagers ATLEAST. You think some talentless Gorrila with little background in fighting can just come in and ko these guys? Possible but 9/10 they destroy said gorrila in one way or another. You proved you know jack squat about mma
as i said before just because at some point or another they went and took some leasons doesnt mean they can be described as martial artists, i mean your averege street thug could take couple boxing leasons it doesnt make him a boxer
overall when i see a fight i look at how the fighter fights, when i see most of them fight i dont see any elements of trained martial arts fighting, look at cain look at juniour look at the no good talantless brock lasner ... they just overpower there way with heavy fists and indurance thats it, yes many of them got some wrestling background but so does every freakin person on earth i mean at some point almost every person on earth took some wrestling or boxing leasons so now what? every human being is a trained fighter?
as i said before i dont want fighters to do acrobatic stunts like jackie chan or jet lee thats not fighting but what i want to see is well placed blows, speed, defence, and overall combined skills that actually represent the world of martial arts, what those guys represent is the world of fighting yes but what they represent is all wrong because people like cain or juniour dos santos are very rare most people that will try to just fight like that will lose its due to there endurance and very powerful punches they manage to dominate but not skills
and to tell you the truth i am not that impressed with fedor, he throws way too many wild punches trying to get the early knock out he forgot about his ground game he adapted himself a new strategy which is ko the opponent right away but when he meets up someone who can take his punches .... you saw him vs antonio
