It means that Shiva was fighting at the same level she's always fought at, for one thing. Adding a new motive doesn't change a characters skill, it means that the writers were not writing a downgraded Shiva.

For it to be CIS, it'd have to be her fighting at a lower level than in the past. Which it specifically was not.
