The gameplay walkthrough looked very impressive. I'm thinking having the ability to change characters on the fly during some missions and free roaming could be the defining feature. If it works well that is.
It would be cool if you run into the other characters during free roam while they are doing something like being in a car chase.
I'm liking that the game looks to be somewhat different than other GTA games with the mission structure. I wonder how much control you are giving to plan these bank heists. Is it just a few things or can you complete change the plan Rainbow Six style.
If they continue the tradition of improving the controls each sequel then the activities might be best yet. Golf, tennis, biking, Base jumping, and I assume some sort of gambling could be the best in the series. As well, I'm hoping they have skiing or some sort of winter activity considering it's in Cali. Maybe even surfing?
From the video, it might be game of the year. It looks really impressive.

That would be a very good thing.
It kind of sucks that GTA 5 is not being released for the PC anytime soon (still hasn't been announced) but GTA 4 was a very poor optimized game.

I went to game stop yesterday and asked if there's been any word on a next gen or pc gta5 and they said flat out "no" and that if it does come out for those systems it'll be later next year.
If so i'll just have to wait. eff it. (for the pc version, that is ..) I just hope it doesn't end up being the fiasco gta4 for pc was.
In the latest issue of Japanese magazine, Famitsu, some extra details were let slip about Rockstar's upcoming Grand Theft Auto sequel. We now know that while the rest of the world will get the game on September 17th, Japan won't see its console release of the game until October 10th.On top of that, there's going to be up to 15 different species of wild animal within the game, all of which can be hunted - though it's not clear what impact this has on the game or if it will be part of the story in any meaningful way.
Speaking of animals, players, will get their own dog in the game, one that they can actually lose if they're negligent - so make sure to shut the door behind you when you leave the safe house.

There will be a version. Every GTA game has been on the PC. I can't see why it would be any different with GTA5. It might be the case that the developer doesn't have enough resources to develop on the PC....

I just asked because gamestop usually gets some news sometimes before the public does, from these publishers or devs. Like I remember they saw the Battlefield 4 way before the public did and I even think they got a chance to play.
