That's not how the scientific community works, we just publish whatever we find right away without thought of how things can really be used for good or bad. So the moment it happens, unless it is direct under some kind of government control (i.e. military research), we'd know.

That's not how it works for every single discovery.
1. Sometimes, discoveries are made but remain unpublished or even cared about and no one does anything with them, ever again. (Some memory technologies have gone this way.)
2. Sometimes, discoveries are made but the people making the discovery do not know that they stumbled across the discovery until years later. (Aspartame.)
3. Sometimes, discoveries are made AND published that are ground-breaking but it doesn't take traction and no one cares...thus the discovery ends up in the same place as #1. (Several battery technologies.)
4. Some discoveries are made but the results are suppressed by the government, the employers, or the ones funding the project. (A WHO study that showed Weed was less "bad" for the body than an equivalent in a cigarette. It wasn't until a decade later that we found out the US Government suppressed the study from being released. I don't know the details, but it may have been just simply preventing it from being published in a major medical journal or something. There's also several projects that were de-funded from the multiple parties I listed, that most never know about. My sister, and intern MD, was on one such project that already had everything they needed to publish results (including a peer review and results duplication from another group) but were defunded due to lack of interest from the commercial entity funding their project (it was a project on genotypes activating in second or third generation making it become a phenotype.))

Most cases are one of the above. Some get interest (sometimes due to charismatic scientists or "funders"😉 and some get funded because of a visionary.

I got my PS3 on the launch date and procured my name before anyone else decided to steal my rightful title.
Since I already own LittleBigPlanet and Infamous, the only free game being offered by Sony that I MIGHT be interested in is Dead Nation.
Still, I think that it's a major slap in the face to Sony users to offer them such dated games and with so few options.
Infamous and LBP, I admit, are amazing games, but, c'mon, man, after all of this shit, I feel that Sony should whet our whistle a trifle better.

In all my searches, that page did not come up. It should have, though, as it looks like that page was posted some time around 10 PM (I'm not sure if that is EST, CST, or PST, but since I'm CST, that's close enough.)
Anyway, yeah, that's what I had guessed from their original release which stated the offers would be extended shortly after all services were online.
I hope they get it going sooner than later because I've already worked ahead 2 weeks in all of my classes because I had nothing to do on my days off. 😐

With all games that have the "good" or "evil" options, I always play "good" first, and then evil. I hear that this is the golden rule among video games: always play good, first, and then evil.
I usually enjoy doing teh evil side first but I really liked being good in Infamous. It was nice helping these guys out and have my heroic visage on propaganda and stuff. Plus they saved my ass a few times with those rocks they throw. That was a nice touch. I did not like it when they threw rocks at me when I was evil. That was damn annoying.

My last membership for PSN was **** and now I'm trying to enter a new one but the damn thing is asking for my real name, street address, etc. I ain't giving them crap after the epic fail they performed. Why can't they be like Microsoft and not ask for every little bit of personal information? I friggin hate Sony! That does it! From now on, I'm only buying games that focus mostly on single player for the PS3. No more multiplayer for me on there 😠
