You can't currently change your password because of what nemesis posted, the notification email has been turned off

I think you can contact Customer Support though

This sucks

Bah. I never understood why MK9 required that kombat pass thing to be able to play online in the first place. Mortal Kombat vs DC didn't, not that it was a real good game anyway.

Online Passes are more common this days and it sucks as well... it's the retailers fault for selling used games 😬

Ah, I see. There seems to be a bit of a solution for it now though.

Due to the recent PSN outage, Mortal Kombat for PS3 will now be playable online without need for the Kombat Pass. This is a temporary solution that will only be available while Playstation Store is unavailable. Once PlayStation Store is back up, users will be able to enter the Kombat Pass code included with Mortal Kombat or purchase a Kombat Pass for $9.99.

But I reckon most will have to pay that $9.99 in the long run... Ah well.

great solution

I hate Online Passes... If only they were locked to the console as a game would so anybody else can play the game, instead they're locked to a single profile 😐

Slap to the face much?

So, yeah...can't get inFamous in Germany...cause our government is a bunch of cocks with screwdrivers stuck in the reasonable parts of their brain.

No matter though, I'll still get LBP, and I guess I'll get Ratchet and Clank, which they seem to offer, and probably just get inFamous myself...

Why would Germany censor Infamous?

It's not censored, I believe. The PSN just can't or won't offer it in their welcome back program as it is rated 18

Well, I don't know about that, I mean they censor a lot, but I think there's probably other more pressing reasons why I won't get electro powers. Laws of nature and stuff like that.

Plus even if you get them, the amount of required secondary powers that you need to effectively use litninz is ridonkulous.

For all we know, the top scientists in the world might've discovered how to grant a normal human being super powers through gene therapy but haven't passed the knowledge along to the world because they fear we'd have a situation similar to what goes on in the X-Men comics but worse.

PSN Attack Costs Sony $171 Million
Company provides estimated cost for network breach.

As part of its revised earnings projections published today, Sony said it estimates the PlayStation Network attack from April will cost the company 14 billion yen, or $171 million.

This estimated cost includes the personal information theft protection program for customers, the "Welcome Back" program, customer support, network security enhancement, legal experts, and the impact on profits due to a possible future revenue decrease.

"So far, we have not received any confirmed reports of customer identity theft issues, nor confirmed any misuse of credit cards from the cyber-attack," the company said. "Those are key variables, and if that changes, the costs could change.

"In addition, in connection with the data breach, class action lawsuits have been filed against Sony and certain of its subsidiaries and regulatory inquiries have begun; however, those are all at a preliminary stage, so we are not able to include the possible outcome of any of them in our results forecast for the fiscal year."

The costs will be incurred during Sony's current fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2012. The company will report results for fiscal year 2011 this Thursday.

EDIT

Sony said today it will fully restore PlayStation Network and Qriocity services in the Americas, Europe/PAL territories and Asia - excluding Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea - by the end of this week. Service updates for Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea will be available at a later date.

Full restoration for PSN includes:

- Full functionality on PlayStation Store

- In-game commerce

- Ability to redeem vouchers and codes

- Full functionality on Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity for PS3, PSP, VAIO and other PCs

- Full functionality on Media Go

"We have been conducting additional testing and further security verification of our commerce functions in order to bring the PlayStation Network completely back online so that our fans can again enjoy the first class entertainment experience they have come to love," said Kazuo Hirai, Executive Deputy President, Sony Corporation. "We appreciate the patience and support shown during this time."
