Part of the long range campaign to get people to stop laughing at Aquaman because of Superfriends and Seinfeld (and because of his name itself.)

Once upon a time, DC created Lobo as an over the top parody of Wolverine. But it seems they are intent on making Aquaman the Wolverine of the DC Universe. Agree?

And the Abnett/Lanning days, when he had the water hand. It's been pretty consistent since 1993/1994.

Aquaman would have similar attributes to Wolverine in the context of his role in the team, yes. Solo, though, no; the differences far outweigh the similarities.

Aquaman is just awesome. People will never want to admit it.

Not because of sales or anything, but DC is making the JLA into a big franchise now. Rumor has it it will be called Justice Leauge of America or something with a big writer attach with it. Hopefully someone good.

i rather enjoyed how Freeze was reintroduced

Batman has enough lunatic rogues as it is. Didnt need to add freeze to the list.
