Yeah, I'll be buying that variant for sure.

And the new JL one by Jim Lee.

An interesting article on how the New Gods could be related to the next big crossover event.

Aquaman being one of the best books isn't a condemnation of the rest of DC, it's just one of the best books in either company in the past decade, I'd say.

You are cleary on drugs.

You're missing out, imo. shrug

Im collecting it...its the best title in the past decade in either company?

In fairness, he said one of the best, not THE best.

I think it would rank pretty highly tbh.

That doesn't change anything. You can't say its one of the best titles in either company in the past decade after barely 11 issues.

Oh he said this afterwards, pretty much rests my case

Though, I'd definitely say it's too early to actually elevate it to that status. Given Johns' impending departure, it'll probably be forgotten and the potential left unfulfilled.

11 issues is enough to judge it's quality, but I do not think it's among the best of the decade. Maybe the last two years or so.

He recanted in the next paragraph of his post. No really it isn't not when you're comparing it to other titles that have gone on for much longer.

Not sure if hes actually read issue 11 actually.

Oh and please elaborate on exactly what you were implying with this post.

You're nitpicking my words over a technicality I addressed in the next line?

😬

Find something better to do with your time

My opinion =/= your opinion

Cogito you stated that it was too early to make that judgement, you're now making it to be more complicated than it is. I don't know what relevance you think the next line has but thats about what happens afterwards that doesn't have anything to do with using 10 or 11 issues and comparing them with other titles that have lasted much longer.

Yes actually we both argee that you can't give it that status after so many few issues.

Telling people to find something better to do with there time when we are all here to debate comics is hypocrirtical. Don't be silly.

I'm happy to debate comics, but you're trying to debate opinions.

How good a story is, and how long it takes to achieve whatever status that may warrant, are both highly subjective.

Don't see why it would make a difference.

That you perhaps weren't reading the book, and doubting that it was good?

Or were you just arguing semantics?

At the very least, I would say Aquaman is one of the best books of the last year.

I would go so far as to say, if it keeps up, one of the best DC books of the last five or so years.

Can't say I really care about that.

Spoiler:
I guess Diana couldn't do decently without a stronger male at her side.

Johns is one of maybe a handful of writers that can pull this off, imo. He knows how to write romance, and his interactions between Wally and Linda showed that he understood how couples talk with one another.

I don't think the two characters are inherently incompatible; no writer has just pulled it off as well as they maybe should (bar kingdom come).

And at the very least, it's an upgrade from that *****.

Just saw the cover. lol.
