The fact that Action is mediocre is the majority consensus on every comic review outlet on the internet.Action has had one good issue... an else worlds tale where Obama was Superman.
If these are the same outlets that rage about how great AVX or McDuffie's Justice League is, it's not going to mean a whole lot to me.

He's had the suit for like, two issues. You wanted him to wait longer before getting it?
Yes. And all the side stories (Super-Obama, Legion, etc) as well. I really liked the socially conscious angle he had going up against poverty as Clark and corrupt businessmen as Superman.

Oh, okay. Fair enough, but as I recall, Morrison's plan all along was to bring the suit in after a couple of arcs.

Who has been raving about AvX? The universal consensus is that it has been terrible outside of a few issues that were merely passable. 😕
IIRC, cbr has been giving AVX at least 3/5 stars for most issues (sometimes 4). I may be wrong, but there are plenty of other examples of comic review sites getting it wrong.
But seriously, if I trusted review sites for everything, I wouldn't like half of the things I do. Or am I the only person like that?

Maybe they have but CBR has the worst reviews on the internet, and least timely. I rarely check them. /shrug
Originally posted by -Pr-For me, Hal's book is as good as it was pre-reboot. GLC is solid, and if I had more money it would be on my pull list (my only reservation is that I'm not a huge fan of pasarin's art. New Guardians is decent, I think. So yeah, all in all the Lantern books are pretty solid imo.
thanks I will read up on the issues I've missed

I honestly don't trust comic reviews in general.
Except this one:

DC may be losing writers, but they are gaining some good ones as well. Many indy writers that have wrote quality stuff.
Who are they gaining?
Even some of the replacement writers are leaving, btw (Perez's replacement is leaving Superman soon). Unless editorial straitens out then you'll likely just see a continued high churn rate.
I'm worried for the good books.
Scott Lobdell is writing the Superman Annual, and apparently will explain what happened on Krypton... Of course, Morrison did that already, so...

Re JL 12:
The comic, which goes on sale Aug. 29, culminates months of flirty foreshadowing. Writer Geoff Johns hints that some event — possibly tragic — will impact every member of the Justice League, and cause Superman and Wonder Woman to seek solace in each other and move from super-powered colleagues to power couple. This is no one-issue stunt: “This is the new status quo,” says Johns, adding that the relationship will have a seismic impact on all the heroes and villains in the DC universe.
Yes, there was foreshadowing, but not a lot.
