DCU gets remade - all books are #1s, Geoff Johns and Jim Lee on Justice League, more

Even some of the replacement writers are leaving, btw (Perez's replacement is leaving Superman soon). Unless editorial straitens out then you'll likely just see a continued high churn rate.

I'm worried for the good books.

Justin Jordan, John Layman, Matt Kindt, Marc Andreyko has a story now, James Tynion, Gregg Hutwitz, and China Mieville. All solid writers. DC/Marvel are always going to lose and gain talent. Both companies have pissed off creators. It's part of what happens.

Oh, yep lol.

They can pretty much only have sex in the polar regions, or deserts.

Or the fortress, of course.

Ok, some good names in there. Still, it does no good if they don't stick around too.

Companies have pissed off writers, but if they're rotated too much, it disrupts story quality (especially if they're rotating due to having to do constant re-writes). The normal rate is a fair bit lower, and times in the past when there's been high turnover have been signs of trouble too.

What I hope is that DC treats those guys with royalty and help mold the DCnU into something special. Like Marvel's world builders over there. DONT PISS THEM OFF!

The old DCU had guys like Mark Waid, Grant Morrison, Geoff Johns, and Rucka molding the DCU. They need NEW guys now. And the ones I listed are good enough to do it. Along with the old like Morrison and Johns.

Yea, one can hope.

Man, I Vampire was pretty awesome. It's stupid that DC doesn't get Fialkov on another title. That's another new name that would be good for another DC title. Supposedly he REALLY wants to write Superman.

It was bad ass how Andrew tanked Apollo's attack and he seems like a powerful mage/Vampire. Definitely the best I have seen. The interaction between Stormwatch and Andrew was much better than Andrew and Batman. All around solid issue as always,

It's going to be interesting where this books leads, because the ending was pretty intense.

I fear that johns is going to turn this into Superboy/Wonder Girl/Robin fiasco.

LOL, Johns isn't even trying anymore. My suspicions were true.
Writer Geoff Johns hints that Superboy's/Steve Trevor' death some tragic event would impact every member of Teen Titans Justice League and would cause Robin Superman and Wonder Girl Wonder Woman to seek solace in each other.

Its pretty easy for him too. Who is going to see what he's trying to pass as new is just a rehash of his older formulas when they are too busy being in SM/LL or SM/WW camp? He's once again proved why he's one of the smartest businessmen in this industry.

Steve Trevor is no Superboy.

Besides, Diana already dumped his ass, for reasons that had been kept a bit vague.

Similar, yes, but not the same I don't think.

She still had some feelings for him as evidenced before. What other reason? ANGST, ANGST, ANGST. Its a disaster-in-making, seeing MOS is not even one year away and johns likes to write love triangles like stargirl/cap/atom smasher or hal/cowgirl/carol.

Angst? That's just a guess.

How is it a disaster in the making? Seriously?

The Hal one wasn't really a triangle. Cowgirl was out of the picture by the time Hal started to take interest in Carol again.

You can't be serious! "A guess"?

Seeing they have to make lois a romantic interest again soon in less than a year and johns' utter inability to properly close relationships, its not going to end well for diana. See what happened to cassie.

You need to re-read GL.

I am. Who says angst is what broke them up?

You've obviously never read Johns' runs on Flash or Superman then. The guy is one of the few writers who can actually do relationships.

What, did i miss something?

Have you seen any other reason than angst break relationships in Johns' books?

I consider them written by an alternate Geoff Johns and even in them, johns had angst and ANGST between Linda and Wally over something or anything in entirety of his run. Did you miss a whole year when zoom killed wally's kids and spectre erased his identity. The guy has angst in his every work as a primary objective except JSA. I'm never trusting him on a relationship ever again.
Read the arc with zamorans and revenge of star sapphire. You would understand what I meant.

Define angst.

Because it sounds to me like you're talking about drama.

I've read that arc.

You first.

I'm talking about what he did to Cassie, Connor, Rose and mainly Bart. He destroyed titans beyond redemption.

Then I don't have anything else to tell you.

I asked first.

"beyond redemption"? No. They're teenagers. You really think Johns doesn't know the difference between teenagers and adults? I love how you take one bad example (and it is a bad one) and try to use it to overshadow more numerous good examples. That's not how you get an average, you know.

Oh, I wouldn't say that.

And? I'm not defining it first.

Yes, at the time of his departure titans were all but unreadable.
They're teenagers.
These are too from the way they are acting.

If his story demands, absolutely. One of her best writers Greg Rucka made her a lovesick schoolgirl in WW: Blackest night. I don't have any faith in Johns.

Like what? Cap/stargirl? Adam/Isis? Name a good example.
That's not how you get an average, you know.
Johns peaked at SCW, now he's just bendis of DC.

Oh, I wouldn't say that.
I would.

Log in then.😛

You're the one who started talking about it, iirc.

Don't agree at all.

How? Seriously, how have they been acting like teens?

Rucka =/= Johns.

Adam and Isis were a well-written couple. WTH...

lol no. Aquaman, GL, solid if not really good books, even if you don't like JL. Calling him Bendis is laughable.

And you'd be wrong.

I'm not setting up an account for no reason.
