DCU gets remade - all books are #1s, Geoff Johns and Jim Lee on Justice League, more

I actually don't care for MOST of his stuff. Especially pre-Flashpoint, but his Shade was fantastic (Great reviews all around) and his Earth 2 is pretty solid (Also gets solid reviews).

I wanted to like the guy, but for me, after Cry for Justice, his run on Superman and now Earth 2, I really don't know if he's capable of it anymore.

He-Man is readable though, I'll admit. Even if he is leaving it soon.

He's already gone from He-Man. Cry For Justice wasn't as bad as some make it out to be, IMO. And his JLA series had some good issues.

The issue with the new writer hasn't come out yet, is what I meant.

How can you like Cry for Justice? I guess the art was okay...

His JLA was okay, but that's not saying much after McDuffie's run ended.

You mean "Cry For My Money Back?"

Aka the character assassination of Hal Jordan, the Atom, and Green Arrow coupled with the senseless "character development" of Red Arrow and the needless death of Lian Harper?

That series was awful in every sense of the word.

Back in the day, his JSA stuff was decent to enjoyable.

Yeah, Cry for Justice was absolutely horrendous. Granted, the artwork was top-notch, and it helped reintroduce Congo Bill back into the mainstream... But good art, and a c-list character that few are familiar with, can only carry a shitty story so far. :/

I will say that his recent Shade mini was pretty good all around, though. E2, however, is a complete strikeout.

I just liked his direction of Prometheus. Made him a big thread to the DCU overall. Art was top notch, so that helped.

Didn't Keith take over with issue 2?

Morrison had done that already, I thought.

Ah, I thought it was issue 3. My bad.

I think Prometheus was more formidable (suit wise) in Cry For Justice.

DC won the sales again in September! Primarily due to 0 issue, but still.

Tony Daniels' take on Superman.

Kinda has a Superman Prime vibe to it, but I like the costume all in all. It's probably going to be around for an arc, if not a single issue, at best, but the art and color scheme are cool.

i've always loved daniels' art

Andy Diggle? He's hit and miss, but I expect good things from him. Now supposedly Snyder on Man of Steel? Good choices.

I trust Diggle more than Snyder, but maybe that's just me.

Reminds me of Godfall a bit.

Anyway, all I read this week was the Dr. Manhattan issue. Not overly impressed, tbh.

Diggle has done some very good sci fi stuff for DC already, but I hope this isn't going to be heavily editorial involvement, because that's what it sounds like. Just like Shadoland was and that was terrible. Still looking forward to his run and I like the new suit.

Snyder's work on Batman is amazing, hope he does both books..

The f-uck? Phantom Stranger (aka. Philip) has a wife and kids that he goes home to every day? Acting as the Phantom Stranger is merely his 'day job'? How f-ucking dumb does it get!?

The character is borderline ruined for me now. facepalm

HAHAHA! Are you serious? 😱
