Superman wasn't fully recharged after benchpressing an earthweight for 5 straight days without the sun when he entered the battle. He didn't knew where the Dino cam from so he pulled his punches. Then got hit quite hard but was still up-
The Zombiedinosaurs cells were decaying but it still was from Krypton.
It was a great showing tbh and it didn't contradicted the bench pressing feat.

👆 Its not like it really matters if he was recharged that much if at all, he did that and barely noticed it... Also I think people are downplaying the Kryptonian dinosaur as being weak as well, when nothing like that was shown. It was the opposite of that actually showing it to be VERY STRONG and extremely FAST!! It even surprised Superman a couple times with its speed and strength. If this stuff isn't nitpicking Superman in 13 I don't know what is lol. Also Erik/Philo getting banned I don't believe was the right thing to do. He did lower his tone while talking about Superman 13 (he should have prob stopped talking about Galan tho) and to continue the warnings from years ago that Philo got to now and add them together, and give him a ban for a few days just seems petty.. Seems like a few people have something against Erik for some reason... 😐
When the entire storyline is complete only then can we see the big picture, people see 1 comic and think they know whats going on... Maybe #14 will shed some more light on whats going on. Or maybe Superman will continue to get downplayed.. 🙄

Despite what he states in this scan, wouldn't hovering for even one panel near the Sun recharge Superman sufficiently enough to rebuild whatever strength he lost(the amount of which from the looks of it was probably minimal) during those 5 days of bench-pressing Earth ?

Yeah let's see how it plays out in the next comics, though I am happy to see that he has the high herald feats he needs now.
Philo was banned? Oh damn. He can be quite arrogant and offensive but most of the time he is reasonable enough to stop... When will he be back?

Not really. Since we can't say for sure how much energy he lost. SBP needed a little sunlight on his hand to get enough power to break from the Team of heralds, though it wasnt a 100% recharge imo. Here DCnU Superman was in the middle of a sentence and then already on his way to earth between this sentence. He needed from the Sun to the dinosaur not more then a second and he also stated that he isn't fully recharged yet.

Agreeing with Batman-Prime, Superman even states "I'd like to hang out here, just sorta storing up any energy I lost over the past few days--" the any part seems to make him believe it wasn't to much at all and prob wouldn't take that much time to fully recharge.. He had to leave and go back to his life as Clark Kent within 6 seconds if he wanted to not cause doubt about where he was.

I think he will be back tomorrow or the next day. He can be hard on people sometimes but usually he is in the right.
