Most of this stuff doesn't sound all that appealing, honestly.

Let's see...

Paul Cornell on Stormwatch, Paul hasn't dissapointed me so far.
Paul Cornell on Demon Knights. Vandal Savage anyone?
Geoff Johns/Jim Lee on JLA
John Rozum on Static Shock (His Xombi has been a blast and one of the \best titles on the stands)
Snyder on Batman and Swamp Thing. Snyder has been great so far and Swamp Thing rocks!
JH Williams on Batwoman (His Batwoman has been awesome so far and the best artist in the bussiness)
Higgens on Nightwing (again, Gates of Gotham has been awesome, he won't disappoint)
DNA on Resurrection Man, can't go wrong with that team
Mike Costa on Blackhawks (he's done great on GI Joe, so I hope he does well here).
Grant Morrison on Superman is a no brainer
Higgens on Deathstroke (see Nightwing)
CAFU on Grifter (Grifter got one of the best artists.)
Sgt. Rock and the Men of War (DC finally has a Stormwatch Team Achilles type of book and it sounds awesome)
Jeff Lemire on Animal Man (Been great on Superboy thus far)

yeah, there is a lot to look forward to.

Really? They have a lot of good talent working on these relaunches. I guess you're just hard to please.

Not really.

I just dislike massive shifts in continuity, especially for some of the reasons that DC is citing. I for one like DC's storied history and I have issues with them taking apart what Lee and Johns don't like and keeping what they do. Removing the JSA from the DCU's history is pretty god damn extreme if you ask me; the JLA as the world's first modern team of heroes is one thing, but the JLA as the world's first superhero team period - to say nothing of making Superman the world's very first superhero in universe - doesn't make sense.

Even if this is all for a new generation of fans/readers, they're really going about in a way that's going to put off the bread and butter of the industry in the form of the fans who've been there for decades - and yes, I understand new blood is needed for the comic industry to survive, but it seems counterproductive to do it in a way that also pushes away long time readers who've invested in the DCU for years.

Obviously, hardcore DC loyalists will support them no matter what and will continue to mark out, which is what they expect to a degree, but I can't fully support some of the stuff they're doing. Do I want them to succeed? Of course, I love DC Comics and comics in general. Will some of these books be good? Definitely, in terms of quality.

Do I wholeheartedly endorse and support the DCnU? No.

Nah, he's just pissed about no Captain Marvel. 😛

Ha, I've long resolved myself to the fact that DC has next to no idea what to do with Captain Marvel outside of sporadic cameos and inevitable Superman fights/team ups as a lot of creators and readers alike mistakenly feel that pushing Cap somehow hurts Superman. Or that Black Adam should be the face of the Shazam brand because he's "badass" (which he is, but that's not the point).

Continuity is a tricky thing. I'm all for continuity, but for the most part, I read comics for the good stories. If DC can deliver (let's just wait and see), then I'm all over the relaunch. I read more DC than any other publisher, so I'm pleased with what they are doing.

The whole relaunch is geared to my liking. The Dark books seem really, really interesting, with big concepts. The Edge line sold me with Grifter and Blackhawks, and I can't wait to read the books with the new writers/talents. This is how the next generation of writers emerge. Ivon brandon, Costa, Fialkov, Nathan Edmonson, etc... I'm in it for the stories not a continuity fan. Continuity gets all jumbled up anyway. For any company that has been around for a long time.

That is what still gets me. I am no psychic, but I doubt DC will attract the new fans they intend. The people who want to read comics already read them or about to start reading them. Without some massive advertising campaign, people not already involved in comics won't know about the reboot anyway.

DC can deliver, but will it be on a consistent basis, the stories have got to good from the get go and also jim lee himself and rob liefield have got to be on time with there issues each and every week/month

have you read the past DC books? I'm actually hard to please. 70% of the books I read today are hard to get through.

I agree, but I think as a whole there will be great books, ok books, and just plain horrible books. I hope 70% of the stuff is good, though. Out of 52 titles there is bound to be some good stuff.

I'm surprised there isn't a Lobo title. DC must be aware that Marvel is making a lot of money off of Deadpool, and yet they keep their answer to Wade relegated to the shadows. Surely a humorous Lobo solo title could sell as well as one of the many Deadpool titles.

That's why they have a Grifter title. Did Grifter ever have 2 swords like in Flashpoint?

And Lobo may appear in my Greatest Adventure.

One of Grifter's schticks is carrying absurd amounts of all kinds weaponry. So yeah, probably.

So after green lantern bombed at box office Warner Brothers are gambling again with their fans.

I thought it was the usual guns. Can you list some of the others? I know he used some kind of special grenade in Grifter/Midnighter.

Huntress will be getting her own mini. Bat books look good.

about time, hopefully it will do good so it can become an ongoing

I doubt it, sadly. Paul is on the title. It should have been someone else, IMO. His Legion run is hit and miss. 🙁

Starfire somehow has even less clothing than before.
