DCU gets remade - all books are #1s, Geoff Johns and Jim Lee on Justice League, more

black canary is on birds of prey remember?

so we have 3 super scientists on the same team. if you include batman. could be interesting. overall this is a very formidable team.

Well, the new JLA pic looks nice. I am still not feeling the roboarmor suit feel of Superman's outfit though.

Update on the woman on the right. Apparently Johns said nobody has guessed the right answer. So, its neither Miranda nor Zealot. Or it could be Zealot and Johns not saying anything.

i didn't know that either so maybe he had jim lee draw up the pic and have people speculate on who she is, all along knowing that its zealot..

i, for one will be glad if it does indeed turn out to be her

Guess you're not a fan of the big 6? What would your JLA look like?

The Big 6 (or 7) is fine for the JLA. The extra people on the JLA, meh. They're good characters, don't get me wrong, but it's not the stellar JLA line up I expected. I do think the Big 7 has been done to death, though.

It would have Captain Marvel and Thor, somehow.

Lol?

i think its one of the better jla lineups. to be honest, you cant make it anymore justice league like. the only question marks are elemental woman and the mystery woman.

For a starting point, yeah, the Big 6 + Cyborg (which I really feel is just a cheap way to "diversify" DC and I honestly don't think he should be there over J'onn and I'm a black dude lol) is a good way to begin.

But to answer your question you posed me earlier over my line-up, I think a JLA consisting of the following members would make for a good read:

-Superman
-Batman
-Wonder Woman
-John Stewart (Hal can be a JLA reservist, and as a rule, outside of the recent GL Corps stuff, John's been sorely underused and I feel he'd mesh more with the team dynamic)
-Flash
-The Question (Vic Sage preferably, but Renee could work too)
-Red Tornado
-Black Canary
-Zatanna
-Vixen

It wouldn't be my "origin" team, but a good team to pen down the road.

The only pro of Jonn being on stormwatch instead of the JLA is that he'll probably end up having the same role in that title as he did in the Justice league of the early nineties, AKA the ultimate shitkicker of the DCU, as opposed to always being undersold to make other characters look better.

It's still a retarded change though..

Cyborg on the JLA's core roster is just retarded.

He brings nothing to the table beyond being black.

Hmm..something has occurred to me. With J'onn not being in the JLA does that mean Aquaman will step up to be the JLA's telepathy guy?

Miguel talks a little about Stormwatch. This title sounds pretty epic.

He may be getting a power upgrade, and in recent years he's both been highly versatile and a very experienced hero.

Sure, he's not going to be one of their heavy hitters, but he's a very solid mid-level character. Brings a heck of a lot more than GA does.

Tech. It made little sense to start that J'onn was the resident tech guy. And it's also about time he moved on up from the Teen Titans. Teen Titans should be teens. Wally, Grayson, Roy Harper, and Donna Troy all made the move.

You racist scum. sneer

Why is the one black character in the JLA like 3/4 machine? That would be so gross to look at in real life.

What exactly are you trying to say DC?

That's what I was thinking. He's also getting a big push in Flashpoint.

Meh. J'onn wasn't the tech guy, sure he helped in that arena but he was mostly the glue that held the JLA together. Quite literally. As pointed out in FC: Requiem J'onn dying left the JLA without a telepath to coordinate them.

he's younger now, maybe he needs it *shrug*

Thoughts on the Superman costume: Perhaps it does serve an actual function. It would make sense if the costume helped keep his solar reserves at optimal levels so that he would be more resistant to red solar energy and so he had sufficient energy to ward off kryptonite poisoning.

Or it could just be Jim Lee trying to make him look cool.

JLA need a tech guy. Cyborg was the one who gave Red Tornado that upgrade. I don't think that's Ray Palmers expertise.
