I think Hector Hammond is going to play a part in the fight, since he'll be in the next arc.
lol, so superman is finally getting a villain back after gl stole his? about time.
Superman 18 preview. If this is a good, classic showdown between Orion/Superman, we should be getting a good battle.

as long as they don't job one of them out.
Just checked this and there's a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff that I'm surprised hasn't come up.
Andy Diggle, the author slated to pick up Action Comics after Morrison, has Announced he's out. The artist Tony Daniel will take over writing duties.
Daniel, in turn, will only be doing 3 issues before moving on to another project
Now, the big one, green lantern. As you all known, the current GL teams are all stepping down and new ones are taking their place. Joshua Hale Fialkov was one of them, and he's walked off due to editors making changes too.
What change? DC wanted him to kill John Stewart. (and a second source in case one isn't enough)
And the reaction was perhaps enough to convince DC that was a bad idea, but the writer's still off of course.
Musical chairs with writers, everyone!

Old news, Q! 😛
Yea, but I didn't see anyone discuss it in this thread.
I'm pretty disappointed with Andy and Josh, because both are solid writers and IMHO would have made those lines better than what they are now.
I'm disappointed in their loss but not with them- editorial meddling being cited in both, and, "Hey, you know that story we have you working on? Kill John Stewart in it, k?" is pretty big meddling ^^

I didn't mean I was dissapointed in them, but in how things turned out and now they won't get their chance to shine on larger books. DC did treat Josh well, though. Kept I, Vampire going despite it sales and had faith to put him on a larger book. Still, editorial has waaay too much control and the books are suffering from it.
Yea, if you're a small, different book, you don't get a lot of meddling (though not a lot of promotion either).
And it's not necessarily too much control- you want editorial to be able to change problems and such if they are needed, every writer makes mistakes sometimes. It's using the control badly, and doing last-minute changes, even very big ones, after already oking stuff! If you're not sure, don't ok it until you are. Don't do last-minute changes unless you suddenly realize there's a *big* problem. Etc..
Btw, in unrelated news, Ma Kent vs Doomsday, Solomon Grundy, and Terra Man in Superman Family Adventures.
She solos.
