I love the Superman line now.

Why?

I mainly like Scott Lobdell's plans for the books. And Justin Jordan will be writing Superboy, which is already a solid book. Supergirl was one of my favs when it came out.

He didn't say much about Superman in that interview, but as long as he keeps on his current path, and doesn't pander to Lois too much, I think Superman is in good hands.

It's horrible. I'm surprised they are letting it happen the way they are as the First Lantern had potential and then.....we got shit.

I remember reading the GL Annual/precursor and thinking: "damn, this is going to be pretty good." But now that I've read a few issues of the event itself, I can't believe people actually enjoy it. It's terrible. Far and away Johns' worst GL-event to date, imo.

Yeah im going in his past comments on future issues. He seems to do a lot of comicvine interviews as well.

Frankly I think it's hilariously funny that you like Superman but diss Lois so much. She's one of the top underwritten characters in comichood relative to her own fame.

HELL YES! Beowulf is back in the present and owning the League. Probably won't happen this way, but hopefully this super soldier gets respect like Frankenstein. 😄

I just really don't like how she acts at times. Women who don't give their partner the same respect he gives them are the kind of women I avoid like the plague, so to see someone like Superman get treated like that, well, irks me.

She's not always written like that, but when she is... Ugh.

What do you mean underwritten?

I hate b1tchmode Lois. But Lois when she's written as assertive, intelligent, funny, and useful outside of being a plot device (ie. getting kidnapped or in peril) is pretty interesting. I think right before the reboot, actually, Lois was written the best she had been in a while.

Agreed. She can be written well, and, for example, I think Johns handles her quite well.

Cheating already diana?

Pretty much what you said, most writers don't know what to do with Lois, she is written poorly more often than most famous comic characters of her caliber. I mean, she's a pretty well known character all in all, but when she's annoying or plot-devicey nobody seems to find that really unusual.

@ abhi. shrink the pic, dammit.

must be an open relationship, then, the way he's been looking at lois.

Yeah, I know what you mean.

I can't. Can you edit it and remove the image tag?

I can't mod on this forum, sadly.
