Nothing wrong with that. After all, GA is currently one of the better reads in DC for that very reason. No he doesn't, not really. DCnU seems to be transforming CV exclusively into a Green Arrow rogue-- and imo, a Green Arrow rogue has no business contending with top-tiers like Superman, Aquaman, New Gods, etc. Again: CV is now playing the role of a street-level antagonist, and that's how we must take him regardless of his pre-Flashpoint characterization.
CV will definitely be much more formidable the next time we see him, but he's not going to be cranking out massively high-end feats, like he did in the days of old, anytime soon... Unless future writers have him transcend the bounds of a street-level foe, of course(which is very doubtful, atm.)
Remember, he's not the first character to be neutered in the DCnU, and probably won't be the last. Just be happy he's at least part of a superb series-- something that definitely cannot be said about Firestorm, of whom the DCnU utterly destroyed. 🙁
I agree of course that GA is one of DC's current books, but I disagree that any character should be neutered to fit a particular Rogues Gallery.
Especially since some characters like Vertigo had long before Flashpoint transcended such barriers.
He was much more effective as a covert operative for Suicide Squad than he ever was as goofy foil for Green Arrow characterwise.
Anyway yeah I hope he gets better, because so far he was dissapointing.
Just compare his first appearance with those of Black Manta or Felix Faust (in JLD) for example.
