Just a couple of thoughts:
1. I don't think this "alien" is Darkseid. It's too obvious and Geoff likes surprises.
2. Plus Johns doesn't like to use New Gods in general.
3. One more thing, I don't think it would make sense to throw that hooded man at Darkseid. What does the hooded man have in relation to Darkseid, anyway? In the stuff we have read about Darkseid in the DCnU, he doesn't seem to have any of those types of weaknesses.
1.) Maybe not, but as of now all signs point to Darkseid.
-We know whoever laid waste to Earth/Krypton 3 is male, as Ultraman referred to the being as "him".
-We know Darkseid has already conquered many-a-earth across the omniverse, and kills every Superman-esque being he encounters
-We know whoever conquered Earth 3 uses a Boom Tube.
2.) Meh, he's already used Darkseid in the DCnU.
3.) We have to first find out who the hooded man is, before we can figure out how he can be of use.

It's no secret that Johns enjoys writing Lex Luthor, as evidenced by his feature role in several of the writer's comics, whether he's wearing an orange power ring, his green-and-purple armor, or a LexCorp business suit.There's also the possibility that another Luthor might show up in Forever Evil, since there's a strong possibility that an Earth 3 version of him is the mysterious hooded prisoner. As we reported a few months ago, some former Crime Syndicate of America stories included "Alexander" Luthor — the Earth 3 version of Lex Luthor. The inclusion of him (or his son) in Forever Evil would pay homage to past DC stories, and it's always possible the visitor-from-another-earth could stick around in April.
Lol, I like how DC resurrects Sea King just to have him be little more than another speed bump in the JLD's path. Don't get me wrong, SK proved that he is immensely powerful(all the ancient magics of Nan Madol are now infused within him), but they really shouldn't have pitted him against a team as haxxed as the JLD in his very first appearance.
Anyway, JLD, Talon, ARGUS, and Superman Unchained were all really good.

However, Constantine locked Deadman's essence within Sea King's body(yet another hugely impressive feat for Johnny.) So it is basically Deadman's consciousness/spirit, with the added perks that come with Sea King's body:

Note that John made sure to erase all remaining traces of SK's original consciousness prior to imprisoning Deadman within his body-- so the chances of us ever seeing the evil version of SK surface again are slim to none.
