Geoff is a legitimately good writer and not Morrison? HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

Dear lord my sides are exploding here.

Morrison's done several plays, the most celebrated book on superhero mythology, was knighted for his work, did the invisibles, excellent parts on Hellblazer, etc.

Johns is some upstart shit who knew a few people in the industry and did some episodes of Arrow.

Johns is the Dan Brown to Morrison's Dostoevsky

I'm not saying he isn't a good writer I just think people exaggerate, same thing with Alan Moore.

The problem is I suspect Grant Morrison doesnt believe in what he preaches.

Some interesting stuff coming in December:

Infinite Man is back!

Constnantine meets his Earth 2 counterpart.

Infinity Man faces off against Mecha Darkseid

Wonderstar seems interesting.

World's End sounds very promising. Can't wait to see how powerful Val Zod is and the new villains: Furies of Apokolips and Court of Apokolips.

Nrama: Are you also getting to introduce new characters? Any you want to share or tease?

Wilson: Aside from the Four Furies of Apokolips, who are really just undeniably badass, I really like that I was able to dabble in a little bit of H.P. Lovecraft with the introduction of a character who comes from a deep, dark realm long buried beneath Atlantis.

Glad to see Infinite Man returning--he is one of the most underused rogues of all time, imo.

Also, E2 Constantine looks like Manchester Black...

Agreed can't wait to see Infinite Man! Read Superman Doom #2 and it was great. New Sinestro was good as well but not on that level. Picked up Pandora from last week, reading that here soon.

Clues about the next crisis. Anything goes it seems.

That sounds pretty interesting, I just hope they don't muddle up the New 52 continuity... That sounds like a pretty tricky story to pull off.

Is that some type of being that Brainiac is looking up at? Read the issue fast, so I didn't take everything in.

Well I do really miss the old JSA. I'd like to see them again.

EDIT: Oh no, wait! Don't tell me they're thinking of bringing back the old titles and keeping the new 52 titles as well?

I wouldn't count on the old continuity coming back, it's most likely just going to be a temporary event thing, DC is bring in a new wave of good looking titles in the coming months. I doubt they would do that if they intended on ending the New 52 continuity all together.

Yay.

They're finally wiping up the DCNU turd and returning to servicable mediocrity 😄

Sweet Godhead preview.

Well, the start of Godhead was pretty f*cking awesome. 👆

So, I guess Maxima is going to appear in the next Supergirl arc.

Anyone read Gotham Academy or Grayson this week? Both were quite solid. I love the bat books.

Abhi posted the large Futures End teaser.

DC went all out in September. They managed to get market share edge for the month, and no wonder! 124 books (with 3d-covers) compared to 80!

For reference, last month was 85 and 78, and July, a very big month, was 93 and 97.

The natural comparison is, of course, the other time they did the 'tons of titles with 3d' thing, villains month, exactly a year ago. Not as big this time around, so I wonder if they're going to stop after two or press the gimmick a third time.

Q99 right on queue. 😂

The monthly reports come out monthly 🙂

One thing I find interesting is overall (i.e. not just DC, but everyone), the money is *up* a little this month compared to villain's month.

And as the page says, "It's the second month this year to top $50 million in total orders, and just the third in the last decade and a half."

Meaning, the comic industry is doing pretty well.

Just for that month, right? The last few months, the units and dollars were down across the board, IIRC.
