DCU gets remade - all books are #1s, Geoff Johns and Jim Lee on Justice League, more

I'd say JSA is probably the project that suits Robinson the best, but I'm a bit worried of his treatment of early Spectre, assuming that it's one of the characters starring (I'd rather he not be).

His portrayal of him in the latest JLA arc has been, well, the less said about it the better.

Either way, like I said, I think the JSA being on Earth 2 is a great ideea, like this poster has put it:

Good. The JSA works best when they have their own world, their own history and their own adventures. Teaming with the younger generation is fine once in a while but living in a world where they're fossils beholden to the younger generation for "rescue" most of the time just doesn't serve them, and their presence needlessly complicates some of the basic things about DC history that new readers think they can assume (like "Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman came first"😉.

I'd say you should expect Captain Marvel to be there too, as their 'Superman'.

Great news, I'd say. [/B]

Great News indeed. I hope they will be the same age as the Earth one JLA (Superman/Batman etc.) and no WW2 veterans. I would rather have them young, becoming the first Superheroes in their reality at the same time/age as the Earth one heroes.

amazing how they can make me happy with what they're doing with nightwing, but completely annoy me with what they're not doing with wally.

johns doesn't want anyone taking attention from saint barry.

CBR talks with Scott Synder about the new Swamp Thing and a little bit of the DCU Dark titles.

The JSA-to-Earth-2 thing is a ray of hope. Nice way to solve the problem their presence created in the main universe.

Wonder if they'll try to explain how they got there as a result of Flashpoint. Probably best if they don't, but on the surface it doesn't seem to make much sense. "I ran real fast, so you exist in a different universe now. Later." I can see Zoom's troll face now.

You know, as much as I am actually looking forward to the Reboot (which is marginally, I'd say) the thing that gets me is; a big reason they're rebooting it all is because lacking sales, right? So they're rebooting the entire universe with practically the same exact creative team behind it. The same creative team responsible for said hurting sales. Don't get me wrong, I've liked-a-many books written by Johns and Morrison and others, but from a corporate level, it seems sort of silly.

I think pretty much everything has been done before in the industry, anyway. Plus DC shuffled 3/4 of the creators and has a totally new line of books. The Edge and Dark lines all seem very promising, with bringing new blood to DC. Both the Edge and Dark line has me very excited.

You could say the same thing when they rebooted Spider-man in One More Day, but the writers seemed quite inspired afterwards and told cool stories. There is a legitimate concern from a writer's standpoint in dealing with continuity and working with all and for further stories, if you cannot get your own people excited about a project, how will the readers follow?

Even if its the same creative thing, I believe they can do much better if they work with a more positive approach to their works. The reboot can help that.

I get what you're saying and agree, but some of the creative problems they're having I think are caused by the writers having their hands tied by past plotlines, character histories, characters that do and don't exist, their powerset (think Pre-vs-Post Crisis), and fan expectations about how characters are treated. A reboot clears all that up and gives them the flexibility to bring the creativity to a new level.

Whether we like that new level has yet to be seen.. 😉

So, the timeline is too concise for Wally, but long enough to handle 5 Robins and 4 Earth GL's, all of who's history is basically remaining the same?

I'm not even a huge Wally fan or anything (I grew up reading Barry) but this whole campaign to basically remove him completely so that Barry can shine is ridiculous. I see no reason why Wally existing or - gasp! - being in a book takes anything away from Barry.

As far as the JSA goes....meh. I liked the JSA for adding history to the DCU; putting them in their own little world basically removes one of the primary draws for me from the team.

One of the few I'll probably pick up. Gail is awesome.

Flash #1 variant.

*sigh* Warren Ellis is going to start writing Secret Avengers not sure if I want to drop it just yet. I hate dropping titles.

Grifter trailer. Not much, really, but there is one cool image at the end. Which is hard to see. 🙁
