I don't understand. Except for maybe one faceshot, that looks like Carlos Pacheco artwork. Not Perez. Is Perez just doing layouts and Merino doing Pacheco-clone finishes?

I'm pretty disappointed with the direction they're going with Starfire altogether. It seems like she's abandoned the warrior's code shtick and is now incapable of long-term memory. I really don't understand the point of sacrificing her history and personality for the purpose of making her seem naive and sexually charged. Wait, no, I do understand. The writer is kind of retarded.

i had the same thought, but as far as i know, it's just merino on art, making it look like pacheco.

I didn't so much see her as naive as I did care-free. Not that it's a good thing. Being sexually charged in and of itself isdn't a bad thing, Lobdell just should have handled it better imo.

Triple. >.<

Most sexist comic from the new 52 is Superboy.

Someone on CBR just posted a pic of Starfire explaining what she said in Red Hood #1, which is why I said she didn't change that much. For the exception of her memory. Which I find kinda stupid, but whatever.

Link?

Hold on, it was a pic, explaining their relationships.

I think this was it. Her race has been very sexual. It's just one issue. Maybe she'll get her memory back or something.

It's not a question of them being sexual. That's a given. It was that this comic dialled up several notches without fleshing her out (and i use the term ironically i suppose) emotionally.

You can be sexual without being a ravenous sex-bot.

Her race was always sexual. I'm pretty sure that's come across over the years. Her dealings with Animal Man and even Dick during the Outsider's run proved as much.

Idk they marketed this team as a group of tortured individuals (I think they specifically highlighted Starfire as a prisoner of war) who had to use each other to come to terms with themselves. What I'm getting is that she doesn't remember the Titans because they didn't matter to her, she doesn't care about sex - which was really always the case - and she has to screw random dudes for some distorted notion of feminism.

Even Gail Simone publicly told Lobdell that his Kory was stupid.

I got the notion that she forgot about the Titans. Not that the team didn't matter to her. She forgets and cannot even see proper. If she sees Jason, she'll forget him later on. Then again, I only read it once.

The unfortunate implication of that is that Starfire will likely never grow as a character.

If she forgets everything, even traumatic things like a breakup...how the hell is she supposed to develop?

Oh wait...I guess she won't.

I have no problem with portraying a female character as promiscuous, even if its to the point of sluttiness. Male characters in comics do that kind of thing all the time and no one even comments on it (except for Iron Man I guess), I don't even care much that they changed Starfire's personality (though I can sympathize with her fans, I just don't personally care because I never found her all that interesting).

What I care about is that given how she's been written so far she has almost zero chance of becoming a rounded character.

The whole team is crap IMO. Red Hood and Red Arrow together would have made a coherent but (again IMO) crappy team. Adding Starfire makes no sense on a thematic level and even less sense in terms of a superhero team dynamic. A Low Herald teamed up with two street levelers? Bah.

I have no interest in any of these characters, if I pick up the second issue it will be because of Starfire fanservice. For that reason I think the writer should just bite the bullet and do what he wants to do: write a Starfire Hentai comic. *shrug*

If they wanted a chick to even things out they should have gotten someone like Ravager. Someone who doesn't make the other two seem useless.

I'm too white to understand any of that.

Flash sold well over 100,000 copies. Easily one of my most anticipated books. I love how they'll show Barry using the Speed Force in new ways every issue.

I don't like Barry, but I may read it.
