Guy Gardner's (and apparently Kyle Rayner's) history being retconned is more annoying than I thought it would be.Guy treating Booster with no respect made me angry. durhulk
It's also like Guy and Ice never even met. Did they even speak to one another at all in JLI #1?
How're they changing Guy/Kyle?
Preview of Guardians looks like Kyle's origin is the same...

I had the opportunity to review the first issue. Andrew Bennett is back! Truly an amazing book and my favorite of the first issues, bar none. Can you believe 2011 marks this character's 30th anniversary?
Sleeper hit of the New 52. Huzzah.
Interview with writer Josh Fialkov will be up soon elsewhere. I'll keep everyone updated.
Oh, and yes, my review has some exclusive, heretofore unseen artwork!

Pretty much.
I'm assuming they're keeping Hal's time as Parallax canon (judging from the beginning of the comic), then, though I'd imagine the events of Zero Hour and Final Night have probably been vastly tweaked or omitted.
At least I hope they don't completely remove that aspect from Hal's canon to make him less failable.
Something does come to mind, though.
Ganthet "chose" Kyle in the retelling of his origin because of his ability to overcome great fear, something which was explicitly shown to be not the case prior to this reboot. In fact, that was a running plot point with Kyle; whether or not he was chosen or just happened to be in the right place in the right time. He was never a fearless Green Lantern, which was what helped make him unique.
