STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- City in the Clouds

"If you can, then I can go and see why they aren't answering..."

It takes Zaltus only a moment to locate their comlinks. He says they are on some of the lowest levels, below where you are now.

Huh. What are they doing there...

Rianna will head down to where they are.

Zaltus pinpoints them as being down in the cargo hangars, where shipments are brought for the groups that operate in the lower level.

He is having trouble getting a specific location. It can only be a handful of hangars and he directs you to those.

Rianna will use her senses to look out for any familiar presences as she heads down to search, then.

You were not around them long enough to really count them as a familiar presence. But you do sense something. Fear!

...that is never a good sign.

So, Rianna will go investigate where she's sensing that coming from!

You follow it to one of the hangars! Being a cargo hangar, it is very wide and open. It keeps with Cloud City's rustic red tones, and you would be able to see the clouds beyond if the hangar doors were open. They are not.

Sitting in the middle of the hangar, tied to a barrel, are your Wing Guardsmen.

Rianna will enter cautiously, looking and sensing around her as she does.

"What happened?" she asks as she approaches, lightsaber out to free them.

You sense danger!

Of course. Rianna will quickly look around and see what might be causing her danger sense, activating her lightsaber as she does so.

There is a rocket coming your way.

Um, well, as Rianna's not good enough with the Force to just deflect that away from her, she's going to duck.

Rianna fails to yield any successes on her Agility check, penalized by the rocket launcher's use of the Heavy Weapons schtick. He only rolls a success, though, so it is only 3 damage to Rianna as the rocket explodes nearby. It tears a hole in the floor and knocks over the barrel the officers are tied to.

Can she see where the person who shot at her is?

Yup! A heavily muscled man, up on a maintenance walkway.

"Hello, pretty!" he calls in a gruff voice. "I see you've come to play!"

(He is portrayed by Clancy Brown, more or less in his role as the Kurgan from Highlander.)

(...like I have any idea who that is or looks like 😛)

Rianna's going to first free the guards.

Any way up to where rocketguy is?

There are some catwalks at different levels. They are now filling up with mercenaries emerging from maintenance hatches.

You cut the guards free!

The Rocketeer is lifting up his launcher again.

"Move!" Rianna tells them, running for the nearest catwalk and jumping up onto it.

You make the leap just as the rocket fires off! It strikes the walkway you alight on and obliterates part of it, causing it to tip hazardously. You manage to cling on and take 7 damage. That walkway is not long for its purpose.

Your schticks, please!
