STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- City in the Clouds

"Somehow I don't think that's the case," Rianna snaps, rolling away from him and getting back to her feet, calling her lightsaber back to her hand with the Force.

You are a bit out of sorts after that last punch, Rianna.

As it is, Captain Zaltus has arrived with his pistol raised, snapping off shots at your adversary, flanked by a handful of Wing Guards.

The Rocketeer gathers up his rocket launcher and goes running into one of the maintenance hatches that he and his men emerged from.

Okay, so she's going to rather more slowly stagger back to her feet, then.

Captain Zaltus and his men take a cumbersome lift up to your level.

"Spread out and find him!" Zaltus orders, and his men start for the hatches.

"Rianna, are you alright?"

"I've been worse..." she says, leaning against the railing. "I've also been better. Any idea who these guys are?"

"I have an idea," Zaltus says. "There are a plethora of hired guns here in Cloud City. You just went up against some of them, and possibly one of the worst. We've been trying to pin something on that guy for awhile. He's not good news."

"I certainly noticed the 'not good news' part," Rianna says.

"I haven't managed to find out anything about Rand and Vash's whereabouts, except that they were in a particular bar at some point...the person who attacked knew exactly what to expect from me, though, so I've few doubts about who sent him down here."

"I suppose that would explain why he did something so brash," Zaltus says, gesturing to the still-burning sections of the bay where the rockets struck. Some of the Wing Guard are trying to put it out to no avail.

"Seems silly to launch an attack on you when you have no idea where they are, though."

"It would not be the first time he's done this sort of thing. He seems to enjoy mocking me for attempting to stop him," she replies, mildly annoyed.

"The only other idea I can think of is if he wants us to track that low-life back to them. In which case, I would be very careful..."

"That strikes me as entirely inefficient," Zaltus says. "Is your target insane, perchance?"

"That's a bit of a loaded question. Frankly? Yes. Insane, and very powerful. I don't think anything you could bring against him he would see as a threat," Rianna replies. "He would just see this all as a game."

"Hmm," Zaltus says. "Troubling. In any case, I will try to have Idom tracked down. He can't go far."

"Good. Maybe we'll be able to get some information from him..."

"We'll see," Zaltus says. "We need to get you to the hospital. Are you badly hurt?"

"Mostly just winded, I think, I'll be okay..." Rianna says.

Any actual injuries from that, actually?

Some bad burns and possibly a broken rib or two from that last punch. Treatment and rest will get you back on your feet quickly.

Zaltus will usher you out of the bay and to Cloud City's medical center. Typical of Star Wars hospitals, it is white and clean and futuristic, though the Bespin style of wide windows and artsy panels continues.

"You need your rest," Zaltus says once a nurse accepts you. "I will have guards posted to make sure nothing happens while you are being treated."

He is hesitating with something.

"What are you holding back?" Rianna asks.

"Oh," Zaltus says. "I was going to ask... would you be interested in dinner, once you're out of here?"

...well, suffice to say that Rianna is completely dumbfounded by that request.

(also I burst out laughing)

Zaltus awkwardly backs away.

"Uh, well, think about it," Zaltus says, before taking his leave.

Some time in the medical center under the attention of a small team of droids sees you getting 10 points removed from rest and 30 removed by the droids' Medicine rating.

Zaltus was right about something though- even if this is meant to be a lure, the Rocketeer was certainly trying to kill you. Not quite Rand's way- he wants you alive.
