If Thanos used a shield I'd admit it I go by what I see and by what the dialogue tells me.

You'd have to try hard not to see Odin's blast hitting a shield of some sort. You'd have to try even harder to delude yourself into thinking Thanos could straight up tank a blast from Odin.

Thanos just easily tanks it. Thanos is a peer of Odin's or was at the time I should say. Him tanking the first blast should be expected.

Thanos raised a shield to which Thor broke clearly on panel. Thor had the power gem which is far more powerful than Odin but needed no shield against Odin. We see him on panel easily tank it without a shield drawn.

What was onesided ? We saw Thanos tank Odin and he isn't more powerful anyways.

Through cloning and genetic, not through his own power. He couldn't create a weapon like Mjolnir, or bestow Herald level powers. That's the level Odin is at.
