He's empowered by an abstract death who is more powerful than Galactus. He also is immune to death Galactus isn't while Galactus has shown to grow considerably weaker from one blast through one Thanos shield.

I don't remember any mention of growing "considerably" weaker, and its not as if Galactus didn't trash the Elders of the Universe who in turn where immune to death...

Rulk also killed one elder whereas Thanos was killed yet came right back proving even if his body is destroyed it reforms atom by atom. Galactus used up vital energies from one blast meaning the longer this fight goes the weaker he gets whereas Thanos can't be killed and was only ko'd by a cc level power.

I don't want to derail the thread into another Thanos comparison you have my views accept them and learn from them.
