Odin VS Galactus

*Galactus is up. He has reconstituted his face and tells the Asgardians that he's tired of messing around and begins building the Elemental Converter. Odin is KO'd and the pastor from Broxton goes to confront Galactus by himself.

*Surfer ends up with Sif by his side. Thor looks jealous.

This doesn't sound like much of a fight at all.
First you say Odin entered Odinsleep but then you say he got ko'd. I'm confused.

no, wasn't much of a fight, unless you count the TP stuff. Thor vs. surfer has been much better, despite the same mjolnir throw/surfboard counter has been depicted 3 times.

I guess we're to understand that the psychic assault also had Galan as the passive agent, it was Odin who chose to break it after all.

That sounds pretty.....anticlimactic. They essentially stalemate in a TP battle, then Odin KOes himself just by ramming into Big G?

Just like I saw it once Galactus gets serious in the end shrugs Odin off like it wasn't even a contest. I feel for all the asgardians who desperately thought otherwise and really tried rubbing it in as it's going to come down even harder on them. As always despite leo and some others claims Galactus>>>Odin. Feats in the end don't matter comparisons do and portrayal trumps all.

In the end Galactus will probably still be thwarted off via plot device which is 99 percent always the case but one on one he has shown himself if these accounts are to be true as greater than Odin hands down.

odin ko'd himself ramming into galactus yet thor wasn't as appreciably damaged when he did the same?

something is going on with the Seed. Loki has plucked it from the Destroyer and as soon as he did that surfer and thor stopped their battle instantly and raced to earth.

Thor is more durable than Odin, is what this battle has been hinting on all along.

wasn't anywhere near the same impact. Thor broke off one of the prongs on G's helmet but odin's bum rush visibly did significant damage. i can't describe it the art tells the whole tale.

consider that even after Thor hit G, the TP battle still continued uninterrupted. By contrast when Odin hit G, they both fell from orbit. That's a huge, vast difference in impact.

The poor liverspotted skyfather's bones are losing calcium at an astonishing rate.

Would love to see Odin ko'd again in the near future.

Anymore wild and totally inappropriate Fraction dialogue that sticks out?

I know I've been talking trash the last few posts but I think seeing the scans is mandatory to the assessment of the feat, I truly expect this to be way above the blast with which Thanos sent Galactus flying, but less than the bomb that blasted the Hunger. That would be the expected amount of damage I would hope from Odin's very best solo attack.

you mean is anyone of them still taking like a douchebag? Not in this issue as i recall...no one is in a position to talk smack.

The pastor has some amusing lines.

wait, odin knocked galactus OUT, in one shot...unconcious, even if it was along with himself, that's amazing...

they both went into their regenerative comas, but galactus came out sooner, and odin's weakness is clear in that his odinsleep will last longer.

so although odin < galactus, clearly not by much. Surfer reinforces this by cautioning G, that fighting a race of gods is beyond even him, and that they should leave.

Meh I want to see the issue myself plus the fight ain't truly over till issue 6 anyway. BUT, in the unlikely event Odin does wind up losing, I'll keep my word and change my avatar to that jobber. 😠
