That's why if they do Venom, it will probably be after the third movie. Maybe in the 4th, 5th, or even 6th movie (if they ever reach that number without rebooting). I would personally bring in the symbiote right after Gwen Stacy's death. It would make perfect sense for Peter to be in a state of grief, sorrow, and anger and the symbiote can come in to feed on that. If they do that, that would be awesome 😄.

sounds like a good idea. since they are introducing Gwen Stacy i can only assume they plan to kill her off, the question is how?

will they do Green Goblin again? or will some other villain kill her off instead?

I think this is a great opportunity for them to do her death justice! I just wonder how they would make the goblin look for a reboot or if they will just use the old costume.

^ Then to be honest I don't see Venom coming in TAS series. The only reason would be to link to a spin-off. But if it's just for the sake of having him as a villain, then I doubt that will happen any time soon. Simply because they've already used him. And just in the last movie as well.

The only villain I see from Ramai's trilogy showing up again is Green Goblin. It would be crazy not having Goblin in any Spidey series. And even he may have to wait until TAS3 to show up in full Goblin form.

As for the Avengers, I don't see why they have to make any link in TAS series to Avengers. Spidey could be in Avengers without it happening the other way around imo.

Yes your right IM2 was ruined basically being a 2hr Avengers promotion.

What I want to see most of all is Bugle headlines on background news stands in Spider-man films saying 'Punisher claims another bounty' or 'Green giant terrorises small town', Cap on TIME magazine or a Stark Industries ad on TV or a poster of Stark - stuff like that, not necessarily cameos and team ups. Plus signing the actors to do walk ons in all the films would be a nightmare!

While linking Daredevil, Spidey, Punisher, Cap, HULK and Iron Man would work OK in film, I don't think all characters could. Many have worlds far too unique.
Characters like X Men for instance where the stories are more than just a man with a suit and powers, they are on a global scale with mutations and things not easy to drop references to in a Spidey or Punisher film.

Imagine Frank Castle trying to drop a guy who has impenetrable skin or uses mind powers and can manipulate surroundings. LOL. He'd retire!
Still, Spider-man and Wolverine together in a film would be terrific.

I wonder that too. After introducing Lizard it's going to be difficult to create a Goblin that will be taken seriously and will fit in this darker more realistic SM universe.

One thing that bothers me about this movie - it seems they desided to move away from nerdy Parker, they way they're talking about him it seems Pete is going to be this rebellious loner who gets into fights and rides a skateboard in school's hallway.

That would be awsome. The 2 Iconic Marvel characters on a similar level (power wise) and on opposite sides of the moral spectrum.

I loved how the 90's animation fitted Spidey in the X-World basically saying Spidey's like an artificial mutant. And then had Spidey fighting Wolverine, and then teaming up with him.

Awsome.

Unfortunately it's very unlikely to happen on the big screen. Too many companies involved. Marvel, Sony and Fox! Damn them! Damn them all!

They're making him a super nerd with some issues..

But one who can attract the girls. Which is how it should be if you think about all the girls who have wanted him in comics. I think it will work really well.

I don't see why it would be difficult to do a serious Green Goblin that can fit.

I could be wrong but I never got that from anything we've seen so far. He does feel nerdy to me, probably even more than in the Raimi films. We know he will beat Flash in the movie but that's probably the only fight he participates in (minus the fights while being Spider-Man, of course) and he did that in the comics too. In fact, nerds have done that in real life. There are many cases where nerds that got picked on for years suddenly snapped one day and bet the crap out of their bullies. So I don't see how that makes him any less nerdy.

As for him skateboarding, one theory going around the internet right now is that he started skateboarding as a way to hide the fact that he's being bullied at school from Uncle Ben and Aunt May. Basically, whenever Flash gives him a bruise, he can just go home and say he injured himself while skateboarding. It would sound like a legitimate reason and they wouldn't suspect at all that he's being bullied at school. It would be so awesome if they really did that 😄 .

[B]Garfeild looks more like 'Peter Parker' than maguire did

He's a far better actor that Tobey Goober Mcguire as well. 😆 😂

Emma Stone looks freakin perfect in that picture above....Wow!

I always had a crush on her but now. Schawingggggg! She said on TV she was born a natural blond.

The thing that makes me pleased is she seems to understand Gewns character really well.It looks like she really did some research on her.She was in Crazy Stupid Love and in that movie her voice sounds totally different than it does in this movie. That tells me that she has really done her research well and understands her character. The other thing thats promising is Garfield is obviously a very good actor.

At first I had doubts about him taking on the role saying wtf? because he is english and every movie I have seen him in he always talked in his english accent so I did not think he could talk with an american voice but he proved me wrong. He seems to be a very flexible actor. 🙂

yeah I dont either and I dont see it where he isnt nerdy either from the clips.

I dont know why everyone thinks Gwen will be killed off again.you got to remember this is HOLLYWOOD,their movies these days are hardly ever like the comics.I mean come on,Organics,a green goblin costume ALL green? 🙄

Gwen might very well get killed. I agree this is hollywood so we can expect A happy ending. But death of hero's love interest didnt ruin TDK and concidering worldwide success of the movie i dont see why ASM cant handle a little tragedy.

As for GG after Rami's movies im affraid people's main reaction will be - ugh... This guy again. Im not talking about Defoe's performance but overall how the villain was presented in Raimiverse.

Michael Jackson wanted to buy the rights to Spider-Man 😑

True, DC has it rather easy with WB doesn't it? Its funny there is no reference to Batman in Superman or vice versa. Both fictional cities, in a fictional world that could easily be referenced. Still, having Superman in the news in Gotham would demoralise Bruce a bit, "yeh, yeh, stopped the flooding of a town, pfft!"

That's why I'm thinking they may leave him until TAS3. Build it up.. Give a 10 year gap since we last saw him (Harry was GG just in S3 remember)..

Or maybe they'll use Hoboblin instead...

I think they did reference Gotham in Superman Returns. But last time they referenced Metropolis/Superman in Batman was in Schumacer's movies.

Yeah DC/WB do have it easy. Shame they're not doing much with it though.

DC are playing it safe, but maybe they'll fast track Wonder Woman and the others for a Justice League film now that Avengers has done so well.
Its a shame that GG or Ock may not appear anytime soon. The best chance they may have is as villains alongside another villain in a later film.

The animated show in the 90s had Hobgoblin come first, which worked well in a show where most things didn't (cops with laser guns, improbable technology and so forth - more like SPM 2099).
Hobgoblin had great moments in that series. Still my favourite villain.

actually they are. i read somewhere that they are gonna release the ffg movies roughly in this order:

Superman
Lobo
Justice league
Reeboot of Batman
Wonder Woman
Flash

and Ryan Reynolds will still be Green Lantern... so there's that to look forward to

We hear a lot from DC, just don't see much.

Good review. Looking very promising.

It says the only bad thing is the unmasking (which is what I was saying I don't like) but it gave a the probable reason why it happens. That it must be really irritating for the actor to keep it on. Meh whatever.. I can't wait for this.

Wait he STEALS the web fluid from Oscorp? WTF???

Assuming GG probably won't show up in TASM 2 but in TASM 3 or after, I don't see why people will have that reaction since the new GG will come out more than 12 years after the Raimi GG did. Plus, he will look completely different and be portrayed different too. They probably won't do the split-personality GG from the 60s but the more modern Norman Osborn/GG that appeared in the 90s, where Osborn himself is in control and there's no other personality.

They do. Gotham is brought up in one of the newspaper articles.

That's only a rumor. Nothing has been officially confirmed yet. Sounds fake though.

Oh good, thanks for that. 🙁

I never liked the organic webbing. It was the whole point behind Peter getting a job at the Bugle, to pay for his webbing.

Yeah kind of took away his genius as well.

I'd love how in the comics(and animation) he would sometimes work out a villains weakness, and add something to his webs to capitalize on it..

Or how he would make extra large web shooting tanks to deal with a more dangerous foe, or design Impact Webbing! All Awsome stuff!

ahh impact webbing! that was actually an invention of ben rally! 😛

the mention brought up memories of the issue when it was used on venom for the first time.
