Current hulk vs PC Validus

Started by Bentley15 pages

I'd actually like to see Mr. Fixit for an extended period of time, it would be cool to have Hulk struggle physically against his rogues from time to time.

The writers always have a big contribution - positive or negative - to a character. Sometimes their hands are tied though, either by higher-ups or being forced to develop a character towards a certain goal or some other feature that sells. 😬

It's unfortunate.

even now, he frequently does so

Nope it's sales, people would rather read about an edgy character than a dumb one. Just ask yourself this, would you buy a Drax the Destroyer comic, or a Solomon Grundy comic if you had to choose?

Most would go with Drax, and sales figures never lie.

Yep, but it's somewhat underplayed. Also, the Mr. Fixit personality is funnier.

Funny, because Drax used to be dumb and now he's badass.

Looks more like they all died, and then were reformed in the Dark Dimension without their new powers.

Based on the splat, and Hulk stomping in Arm's face. Also based on Wendigo and Bi-Beast and how they didn't have their new powers. The next time we see them, they're back to their old forms... I mean, how obvious can one thing get?

As for your scans (congrats by the way... or to whoever PM'ed you them), it says they were given new forms to match their crimes and savagery. Which means Arm wasn't given a new form, and their new forms to match them were their... old forms.

Also, your argument is now that they were given new physical forms, so obviously they retained their previous amps from the wishing well? So if Surfer died, and was reformed as an 80 pound asian woman, we'd assume he still had the power cosmic even if he never showed it? That's what you're trying to tell me when you say the beings who look nothing like they did before (size wise anyway) are still 1000 times stronger than normal.
So, when Wendigo and Bi-Beast appear in say, a years time and nothing has been said of their amps ever, we're going to still assume they are 1000 times stronger than normal all because it never said that their amps were taken away?
Assuming that beings that lack their defining characteristic of their powers retain their powers, ftw.

All they were was slightly below Savage Hulk level beings, which, while still very impressive (and it was very impressive) isn't the "OMG billions of times strongers!!!"
Why you have to take an already impressive feat and try to destroy it beyond recognition is anyone's guess. Was Hulk (with Betty) killing three Savage Hulk level beings, a bunch of Mindless Ones, and a planet not good enough for you? Was the story not good enough without Hulk killing beings thousands of times stronger? That's what people's problems are with you/this. It's not the feat per say, but people (you) stretching the truth 'till the brink of snapping.

^
Pointless paragraph by the way. You won't understand anything I say.

Let me beat you to your Carver post with what you're going to say. Paraphrasing of course:

lol red eyes, they are the damned. They were given new bodies I posted it. I posted so much proof with that one scan on the matter, so much. Their powers were just condensed into a smaller form... which makes them even more dangerous and manueverable! lol why do you hate the Hulk? lol they were 1000 times stronger it was right there! Show me a wish fading.
I own a comic shop.

I hope I don't sound like what you posted below.

Sr. Bieb... There is no evidence pointing towards your argument. The only change that was made was towards their physical form. They retained their appearance AND their powers but their physical form was dwarfed due to the properties of the Dark Dimension. Every wish that was put into place kept its value.

The proof is completely on you. Show me something that indicates they lost their amps because if you are blaming it on size, that isn't helping you.

I'll be waiting.

Well he struggle with Zeus but that's Zeus it's not like he run's into someone on that level of power often.I am actually looking forward to the new guy.I liked Pak's run on the Hulk overall but I think he has run his course with the character.

I know, and it's likely the reason that they went that route. I hated the dummy man character for as long as I can remember, and I'm sure there are other that feel the same.

I was under the impression that Fin Fang Foom explicitly kept his upgrade, why would the others lose it?

I also couldn't stand dumb drax; but this goes to show that isn't about the character's intelligence. Savage Hulk is an extremely sympathetic character -- Drax was not. But Hulk was sympathetic because he was a monster that, at heart, was a hurt and misunderstood child. It is easy to sympathize with damaged children; adults, on the other hand, at some point have to take responsibility for themselves, and when they don't they simply come across as self-indulgent twats (you know, like WWH).

He did keep it. Sr. Beib is under the impression that since the Dark Dimension dwarfed Armageddon, Bi Beast, and Wendigo size that they lost their ampss when there isn't a single scan proving this. All of them kept their amps. He also think ..lol...that when Hulk punched them into a space ship, it dwarfed them when again, there is nothing leading to that.

I posted proof (that I found on my own)...and there isn't a single scan or any type of evidence or statement that leads to the wishes running out.

^Ok if it Dwarved them, why didn't it dwaf Hulk too, so the szie difference was still visible. And didn't they became stronger because they became bigger. Makes sense. They got stronger and bigger and because they got bigger they got stronger. When they return to their normal size they are normally strong.

Like I have always said... I prefer WWH but not this version of Hulk. Pak went a lil to far with everything.

By the way...more proof that the dimension warps the shape of beings.

All of the damned had red eyes. Well, Armageddon, Wendigo and Bi Beast was damned and sent to the Dark Dimension. Read what Umar states about the damned...they are given new physical forms. Wendigo and the crew was chained and casted away with the beings that Umar speak of and they will forever be trapped in that dimension.

That is the main reason they had different physical forms and wasn't 90 ft tall.

Superior...That's what I am getting from the scan. The Damned physical makeup is changed when condemed in the Dark dimension. Wendigo, Bi Beast and Armageddon was punished and was part of the beings that will forever be trapped on this planet.

Why would Bi Beast and Wendigo be singled out Foom was just as big as they were and he did not change.

Because Foom wasn't condemed like Armageddon and his crew was... Foom was transported there and he was transported back to Earth at the end.
