Now, I have social anxiety and like excessive comfort, so it's horrible for me, but if you are the type, I think you can get a lot out of it.

Really? I only ask because I haven't heard a lot but I've heard the bare minimum is roughly a thousand dollars/six hundred pounds.

Mainland, just outside Lisbon.

For how long exactly? I mean 1000 dollars doesn't really get you much if you're staying at hotels unfortunately. But with websites like TripAdvisor at your disposal you can definitely do it on the cheap these days, as long as you're not too prissy anyway.

Nice. My father's side is Portuguese (from San Miguel) and I've always wanted to go somewhere. I mean, if not the islands, the mainland.

That would be more to my liking. I suppose that's more or less what we did in Japan. Just with a suitcase. And we'll probably do it again next year.

We are in beautiful Bamberg City, City of Justice...world heritage something something. It is actually beautiful though, well worth a trip. Pretty central in Germany as well.

Yeah of course, my pleasure. Depending on when you go, flying through England is often much cheaper than flying direct, and train passes are an amazingly economical way to travel if you want to be more comfortable than taking a bus 😄

Well there's really a lot of things to consider. Like I said Hostels are a pretty cheap way, they'll probably run you between 20 and 30€ per night. Hotels will be more like 50+€. And then how much you need for food and such will also depend on what you eat, but I find people often overestimate how much they really need. Say another 20€ a day should cover it though. So every day is about 50€ + flight (probably something like 800€ both ways) + travel cost (if you get a Eurail pass that's something like 450 Euros for all European countries or like 250 for 4 bordering countries of your choice) so then you can calculate how much it might cost you.

Yeah, it's about 5 hours, which I know cause I drove there the day before yesterday and back yesterday....Hamburg's lovely though
