Do you watch shows by other means? Or just no TV shows at all?
Sometimes I get the urge to stream something. Like I watched Penny Dreadful online while it was on. For the most part though, I don't watch much. It's rare for me to be interested in something on tv. The reason I watched Penny Dreadful was because I love period pieces.
I have zero interest in watching OITNB for example even though everyone raves about it.

Yeah yeah, and it's empowering to women etc. Is it weird that I like shows that don't go on forever? Like I like things that have a few season expiration date instead of going on for like 20 years.
No, I think a lot of people appreciate TV Shows that have clear story arcs and come to a close in a reasonable time. Like Breaking Bad for example.
Orange is the New Black only has 2 seasons so far though. Not a huge investment, and it's really great. And it is empowering to women and in particular women of color. And it has possibly the best, most diverse female cast in anything ever. And it's hilarious.

Yup exactly, it gets a little out of hand sometimes and the quality suffers.
Yeah so I've been reading. It's funny because I don't watch it, but I read a lot of essays about what it means to diversity etc.
Yeah, in particular when there was a clear arc and then they drag it on one or two additional seasons. That's just sad to watch then.
And it has a really positive portrayal of a transgender woman as well. It's so good, ide. But you don't have to watch and read and listen to everything that's great...
What annoys me about TV shows, particularly US ones is that they wrap things up in the first 20 minutes, go really slow and boring, then they add drama and intensity at the end for a cliff hanger.
I'd rather the slow stuff at the beginning, intensity in the middle, then a conclusion at the end of each episode. Not this cliffhanger crap.

Or like the same couples keep getting together, yawn.
I might get around to it sometime, but I guess I don't watch tv and when I'm on my laptop I'm doing a million things at once and don't stream much.
The older I get the harder a time I have keep my attention focused on something for longish periods of time. I get distracted easily.
