Yeah, I know some people who like that. I guess I always wanted to play myself. AssCree is just great though. Like already the premise of living through historical places.
You've been to Florence just a while ago, it's really amazing when you played it in the game and then you see all the places in real life.
I have not, but my brother has. Obviously cost depends very much on where you go, but it can be a very cheap and interesting way to travel. Europe in particular has a pretty alright Hostel network I believe, and with things like airbnb you can also couch surf nowadays pretty easily, make new friends and meet locals.
Now, I have social anxiety and like excessive comfort, so it's horrible for me, but if you are the type, I think you can get a lot out of it.
