Expendables 2

Movie was pretty bad. The awesome is the cast itself. Terry Crews and Couture were again unnecessary. Sucks that they couldn't have a better script and director. So much potential. Still, the oldies still shine on the big screen. Van Dame made an excellent villain compared to the first movie's set of villains.

What was wrong with the script and the directing?

I liked Van Dame's villain character in this movie better than any of the heroes he played before. 😐 lolguile

He came out recently, he had an affair with Kylie Minogue.

The one who played Cammy? Yeah, heard about that. Still not sure what to think of it.

The movie was awesome. I didn't like the first one, but Expendables 2: it was teh win.

What I liked:
- Chuck Norris = Cameo of the YEAR. He was pure GOLD.
- JCVD was awesome as a villain.
- Dolph was great.
- I watched A LOT of movies in my life, and Holy Shit, the first 10 minutes was without a doubt the most violent first 10 minutes I've ever saw. Hands down. I love when a movie go over the top, and they did.

What I didn't like:
- Arnold one-liners sucked.
- Jet Li got what? One scene?

Yeah, I was wondering what the heck happened to Jet Li's character after the beginning bit.

And Arnold's one-liners were pretty much all he needed for this film at least IMO.

This is what the first movie should have been. Was a lot of fun. Van Dame was great as the villain.

Agreed about Jet Li disappearing, that was too bad.

- Not sure what Chuck was doing in the middle of no where.
- Arnold just comes out of nowhere to assist.
- Dolph came off looking like an idiot. He's a great action star so it's irritating to have him play the "crazy" while Terry Crews and Couture mocked him. He was great playing what was given, but it was just annoying watching him playing such a character.
- Action sequence. Lots of death and ways to die but no substance. It looked cool for a bit but none of their adversaries were credible except Van Damme. More or less it was mainly how many ways can the canon fodders die. It got incredibly dull. There was no true challenge. And which Expendable really got hurt? The Magnificent Seven had a great cast too but none of them were made out to be invincible. Action stars aren't suppose to get hurt but when you have like 7-8 guys killing dozens without so much a scratch against hails of bullets, it just becomes sad when you realize they weren't in any true danger.
- Cheesy love story. Not sure why the kid's love story was even needed. It's screen time that could have been devoted to other parts of the movie. Maggy and Barney's romance was all that was needed. They developed that really well.
- Jet Li leaving while Crew and Couture remained in the movie. WTH? Seriously? Li is a true action star and he doesn't get to stick around? lol
- Quentin Tarantino or Robert Rodriguez would have made this movie pure gold. *sigh*

...You do know that most of it was intentional, in terms of writing and directing? The movie intentionally lampoons 80s action movies, it just does it with more explosions than jokes.

I knew part of it was intentional but not all of it. What could have been a great movie turned into a side show. If they wanted to make a satire out of it, they should've left it to the Wayne brothers. Even the 80s heroes took some serious beatings. And the stories were solid. This was just sad. They wise crackers and suck wasn't the problem I had. It's mainly they all seemed invincible. Aside from Stallone, I don't recall any of the others getting harmed (kid not included). They have a great cast and they decide to go and make "Not Another 80s Action Movie".

The entire thing is meant to be a cheesy throwback to eighties action movies, with invincible protagonists, bad one liners and gratuitous violence.

The movie isn't meant to be taken seriously in the slightest.

Pretty interesting most of these actor's ethnic backgrounds. A very diverse group of action stars.

Barney Ross - Italy
Lee Christmas - England
Yin Yang - China
Trench - Austria
Gunnar - Sweden
Booker - U.S.A
Jean Vilain - Belgium
Church - U.S.A
Maggie - China

Found this.

Hmmmmm...Yu Nan as Chun-Li?
Jet Li as M. Bison? lol
Terry Crews as Balrog?
Couture as Zangief.
Van Damme as Guile once again.
Stathman as Ken?
Stallone as Ryu.
Willis as Sagat.
Arnold as Blanka (he's got the hair for it).

Special appearance by Steven Seagal as Dan!

Just got back from watching this. Had its moments ,but I thought the first one was much better.

I did really like JCVD as the villain but he could have been used better.

The Dream Team!

Saw it a couple weeks ago.

I had to dump my popcorn out so I wouldn't cum all over the floor.

no homo

Read for that proposed female all cast Expendables, Katee Sackhoff has joined up with it.

Expandable-2 was a Hoolywood action movie. It is better then part-1 and it was released 3rd week of August 2012.
