There was nothing wrong with the movie but after watching it I was like ok not like "omfg I wanna watch this again as soon as I can."

Thor was a chump without mjolnir he had to take the subway to get back into the fight lulz....

IM3 went way off with no IM and Downey JR stand up comedy the whole Mandarin plot was lame,Wolverine was simply boring.

IM3 was a comedy with a few superhero elements thrown in occasionally.

Agreed. I was waiting for Tony to sport a spinning bowtie at some point in that movie, that is how off the tone was.

Sometimes Marvel movies go way off with the comedy.
Even in Thor 2 when they got into the car instead of flying to Erik or the subway part its funny but it makes the movie kinda lame.

I think Thor just respected the fact Jane wanted to get her graffiti damaged car home at last. And the subway part made me chuckle. Marvel films want us to have fun, and not always be about serious business like the Christopher Nolan DC films are.

I didn't mind the humor in Thor 2 nearly as much as in IM3. There is nothing wrong with humor in superhero movies. It just shouldn't take it so far that the movie switches genres like IM3 did. The one area that I thought Thor 1 was better than Thor 2 was the handling of humor and tone. Thor 1 balanced the humor and serious parts better than Thor 2. The part where Thor faced down the destroyer with no powers was more powerful than anything in Thor 2, and Thor 1 still had plenty of room for funny, appropriate comedy.

That said, I liked Thor 2 better overall, I just think that the humor was a bit misplaced and jarred the overall tone.

Avengers also had a good balance of humor and serious action. To me, Thor 2 fell just a bit short of the proper balance. It's still a good movie, but that is just one area that I thought could have been a bit better.

IM3 though was just one long running joke on comic fans the world over.

Iron man 3 was not only one of the highest grossing comic films of all time, but it was a good entry into the genre. Sure, it was FUNNY. Who cares.. It had action (though not enough imo) and it did things that were risky but payed off. People hate on it because Mandarin was a maguffin, and because of RDJ being out of the suit so much.... The ending was the part I thought that hurt it the most. But people that say it was a "bad movie" are laughable.

Like I've said before, Marvel is getting ridiculous annoying with the comedy. They need a good balance of it which Phase 1 had. Even IM2 had a good balance of humor. Phase 2 is really pushing the comedy overboard. I'm hoping GOTG and Winter Soldier tone down the humor and focus on a better story line and more screen for important characters. Malekith, Sif, Warriors 3, and War Machine were way underused. Mandarin was butchered. Marvel needs to step up it's game.

Humor wasnt bad , but the serious/emotional scenes transitioning instantly to a humor scene was bad. Marvel could improve that. IM3 was lame IMO. it was basically "The adventures of tony stark".
Looking forward to Cap2 and GOTG, Just as long as they don't go the grim/dark route and the depressing blue tint over the whole film in any of marvel future films.
Humor , action, adventure is good if used right (Indiana jones, Star wars,Avengers, etc)
Not everything has to be emo and dark.

While I think they have gone way overboard with the humor, I think the bigger problem is the humor sucks. There were only a handful of funny jokes in the movie despite one popping up every few minutes. Furthermore, their sense of timing is awful. For example, the scene where Thor took the subway during his battle with Malakeith ruined all the tension in the final battle.

Made Thor look kinda lame as well...

This was one of the main problems I had for IM 3. The humor between Tony and the kid was just awkward and lame at times.

The best thing about this movie was the humor. Even Quan the better-when-gritty fanboy knows it works.

The rest of you are a bunch of haters.
