Honestly that's the problem. Marvel has made some fantastic movies, and it's paying off now no matter what crap they come out with. And the problem is there's no real competition from WB/DC.
If they upped the competition (which I think they are in the process of doing) then it will improve the films we're given. Because Marvel won't just get away with making poor quality movies like IM3 then.

Please Marvel has yet to make a poor quality movie the first half of IM3 was good the problem that most people ( Mostly comic book fan )
had with IM3 was the Mandarin switch that and the ending was not all that great too. But calling it a poor quality movie is a bit much. Thor however was a great movie saw it three time.

Also like it or not the last 3 Marvel movies were far.from awesome Im 3 was balls ,Wolverine was ok at best Thor 2 was good but nothing sort of awesome.It had some nice moments but nothing to be amazed about.
Maybe Im just a bit dissapointed cause I wanted to see something great like Avengers.
Hoping that Xmen will be great though.

These movies are making boatloads and the general public overall is deciding they are loving them marvel movies.
Who are you arguing with Quan? Nobody is saying that the general public doesn't like IM3 or Marvel movies. We all know they do, and we all know how successful they are. So again, who are you arguing with? Who's point are you refuting by spouting undisputed common knowledge? Yes, IM3 sucked, many of us agree, but what does IM3 sucking have to do with MOS? DC is finally making a long awaited step, teaming Batman and Superman in their next film. That is progress. But their bigger problem is still unresolved - getting onto the big screen & establishing several more of their top characters in franchises. The failure of Green Lantern continues to be the biggest setback for DC Entertainment, going forward.
By contrast, Marvel has so many more bankable movie franchises going strong - Spider Man, X-Men & solo Wolverine films, Avengers & the solo film series (Iron Man, Thor, Captain America) - and they are launching a new one next summer (Guardians Of The Galaxy), plus relaunching Fantastic Four.
But DC launching a Wonder Woman film? It's like pulling teeth with them...

I'm in a habit of coming to KMC after seeing comic book movies because, while my friends are all awesome and nerdy, they're (for the most part) not nearly as comic-book-nerdy as I am and I need some opinions from the nerds.

I think Thor 2 was awesome, IM3 was crap, and Man of Steel was somewhere in the middle. How agreed is everybody on that?
Ok? You said MOS was terrible...that usually means the same thing as saying something sucks...but whatever. Again, what is your point? We all know that Marvel is making a lot more money at the box office than DC. No one disputes that. So why constantly bring it up? What does talking about how much IM3 sucks have to do with how much more money Marvel is making than DC? You still haven't answered that question.

How much of what you disliked about IM3 had to do with the Mandarin twist? Because some fans bring down the film just for that alone, ignoring the rest.

Comic book fan hated this twist but the thing is some non comic book fans actually like the twist my wife love the movie because of this which I find weird.
