mid after credit scene? Also did you catch the

Spoiler:
616 easter egg and the cocoon(adam warlock?)

Spoiler:
The Collector was ok, seems they need to fix the make up a little...[spoiler] ...

I caught those two, as for [spoiler] the possibility of Warlock, that could be a tease for a future GotG film

So I didn't stay for the after the credit scenes, but from what I've been reading online:

Spoiler:
the Aether=the power gem, and the Tesseract=the space gem(potentially), where the movies are concerned
..? If so, that's an odd change for them to make.

There's also some theories that the staff Loki used during Avengers might be

Spoiler:
the mind gem
, which I suppose makes sense if that is the route they are traveling in the cinematic universe.

That would be pretty interesting, imo.

I agree.

Also(and I didn't notice this until I saw the screencap), Selvig wrote the following on his chalkboard:

Spoiler:
"616 universe"(this is obviously the prime Marvel universe), "the Fault"(possible nod to an Inhumans movie), and "the Crossroads"(possible nod to the Doctor Strange movie.)

Thought that was kind of cool.

Shit, I wasn't even paying attention at that point.

Damn - I'll just have to watch the movie again, now! 😄

Yea it's doing as expected. I just hope is keeps going because it opened to 36 foreign markets on opening weekend and most of those were the major ones.

It made it pretty clear that they're treating the Aether and Tesseract that way. I like the whole concept a lot, and I'm stoked to see how it can tie in to Cap 2, GotG and Avengers 2.

I thought Thor would have a better hold, but it looks like it will lose to Best Man. 🙁

Kind of disappointing.

WTF.

Never even heard of the movie. Oh well, Thor's OS gross should make up for the Dom gross.

Sorry, I meant it beat it in Friday's numbers, but Thor should take the overall weekend. It probably won't surpass X-Men The Last Stand, which is surprising. Like I said earlier, OS will save it.

Thor: The Dark World will be at $140m-$145m by the end of Sunday, with its worldwide total flirting with $450m, or more than the entire $449m total of the first Thor. Don't know about the overseas market saving Thor bit, Thor was always going to make more overseas than in the US it was release weeks in advance overseas because of that.

Well, it held off a surprisingly strong challenge from The Best Man Holiday to win it's second consecutive weekend. I think a finish close to $700 million is possible. It's made a lot of hay just before the release of the second Hunger Games film.

I'm thinking around 650 right now with a lower end Domestic gross but a higher end OS. Ultimately, quite good and pretty much guaranteed for a sequel.

That's good news! I just thought it's 2nd weekend would have been a little higher. Not much competition really. Iron Man 3 had the Great Gatsby it's 2nd weekend and MOS had it worse with WWZ and Monsters U.

^ Man of Steel made $41M in its second weekend. Comparatively, $38M is pretty damn good.
