Denton Van Zan (Reign of Fire) vs. John McClane

WTF are you talking about? He made his shot. The dragon was hit, but was so large (because it was the Alpha Dragon) that it withstood it. LOL your bias can't even allow you to comprehend what happens in a scene in front of your own eyes. Also, he saved the chick, so he did sacrifice himself, and it was his plan, so he did save humanity.

You haven't seen the film, just admit it. You're just butthurt because this is a Quanchi thread or because McClane is your butt bud. You have yet to post or even list a single pure H2H face-to-face match McClane has won with his pure fists without resorting to a melee weapon or using an entire staircase. McClane knocked a large man out in DH5 , but that was a cheapshot. Same with Lihn in DH4. They probably would have blocked or dodged it if it was a face-to-face match, and proceeded to WTFpwn McClane.

McClane loses because all his blows will be easily dodged, because McClane is an established poor fighter, which is why he uses so many melee weapons.. You are trying to give him abilities which directly contradict his character. Van Zan wins because this is a H2H match, and Van Zan has skill in H2H, whereas McClane doesn't. McClane won't touch him, and it's not because Zan Van is invincibly untouchable, but McClane is almost effortless to dodge. Arnold Poindexter could dodge his hits.

We're talking about Van Zan's tower scene, the one where you claimed he made his "sacrifice" that saved the world.

Van Zav aims and shoots. Dragon spits fire and the arrow exploded before it hits its mark.

Dragon then flies away for about 6-7 seconds. Van Zan sits there and then commits a rage induced suicide.

Dragon is then later killed by Quinn with Van Zan's "sacrifice" having nothing to do with it. IE Quinn knew when to shoot.

2:52 of the same video shows quinn cornered by the dragon. how did van zan improve that situation with his "sacrifice"? he didnt.

Their ever flowing tears could have been the fuel that powered DH5 and McClane. If they keep it up as is, McClane might he able to KO a Tyrannosaurus in DH6.

Van Zan has no defence against a shot of that magnitude, let alone many that would be all on him in rapid succession in "Im gonna kill ya, Im gonna cook ya, Im gonna f**king eat ya" style repeated delivery.
Note that the guy he larroped was about Van Zan size and disposition. Then later in the movie

McClane survives a depleted uranium explosion in a confined space, whereas a Van Zan clone that Van Zan's toughness and size dies utterly in it. How I lol'd...!!!!!

The violence will be even more severe in the home released version too.

McClane beats Van Zan to dead hamburger all day, every day, proving you and Quanchi to have been trolls all along, like we said.

That punch was faster than anything Van Zan's thrown or been thrown at him.

McClane wins the thread on that feat alone. Don't have to bring in DH1-4. Van Zan doesn't even touch McClane now, it's a one punch fight.

It means McClane can knock out a man with a single fast punch.

Unlike Van Zan who can't with his 5-6 weight-behind punches and headbutt.

But continue to cry and downplay more, it's your only defense here.

So your only feat for McClane is him KOing (by cheapshot, as the bystander had no idea he was going to be engaged in combat) some random bystander. Not even a villain mook. Just a bystander 😆

A Van Zan size guy who started a fight, by first ramming McClane with his car, then going to attack him, only to be sparked the f**k out in Joe Frazier fashion (that would have killed Van Zan), by the dude he hit with his car. That car hitting would have been McClane (or any other 50-60 year old in hospital were it not for his demigodic damage soak. And trust: This is just one little scene from the movie.

Listen to the sound of the impact. Now listen to the pathetic little slap sounds dished out in the Van/Quim "fight"....
Watching this one incident and the rest of the movie which you CLEARLY haven't seen, from your position here, thats Van Zan outpowered, outspeeded, out anticipated, out durabilitied.

Sorry, but theres absolutely and literally no chance for Van Zan. May he continue to rest in faeces.

though to be fair, the dragon never had time to digest the poser since badass quinn killed him single-handed. something that ridiculous techno-viking wannabe could never do.

No way could Van Zan who was rocked by Quim's little slaps even DREAM of coping with that level of localised impact.

McClane may as well have just shot the guy in the head.
And the sound of the impact was akin to putting a side of beef in a catapult facing the floor and shooting in into solid concrete at 700mph.

Better and more telling than the little weak 'slap' noises from the ladies you glorify in Reign of fire...

And theres NO WAY Van Zan has the speed or defence or footwork to evade that kind of shot.
