American standard of living continues to fall.

You missed the point entirely, but that is not a surprise: you're good at that because you love your strawman arguments.

You can't simply declare an object to be a strawman, you have to actually show why.

"It's not a Ponzi scheme because its a slight variation on a Ponzi scheme."
"It's not a pyramid scheme because its a slight variation on a pyramid scheme."

What about this is not your argument?

Stop trolling Symmetric Chaos! 😄

dadudemon has made numerous claims here about how Amway reps make 'all their money' by selling merchandise, not by recruiting (and by extension having THOSE people buy/sell merchandise).

I have been approached maybe upwards of a dozen times by Amway reps in my life. NOT ONCE did they ever try to sell me merchandise...they tried to recruit me into becoming a rep.

I guess none of them understood Amway's business model either??

Impressive!

Any particular reason not to go further? I would have thought at such a high level going forward (triple diamond/crown etc) would have been simpler?

I'm contented with what I have now.

Gaining more wealth is simple greed.

The excess money I earn through Amway (and the like), I tend to donate to charities.

Yes, those goons may be newly-recruited members from Amway.

Many new members do this kind of stuff, sadly. It gives MLM a bad rep.

My advice is too stay away from these people.
Only recruit yourself to well-established top-earners who know how the business works.

Page A-2. Maybe Amway is trolling you too??? 💃

I'd like you to explain page A-2 to me.

Be sure not to skimp out on details and outline what each element is.

Thanks in advance. 🙂

Sorry, if you do not see why your post was a strawman, you really do not deserve an explanation for a couple of reasons:

1. You know it's a strawman: you're not stupid.

2. You're still just trolling.

It is obvious why, as well: you're raging about getting your ass handed to you about Amway.

If you truly and honestly want to know how your post was a strawman, feel free to PM me and I will be glad to explain it to you.

glad to know you still have a sore ass from having your opinions exposed, Jew-hater.

Anyway, just because your business model provides a good or service, doesn't mean it isn't a variation on a pyramid scheme, particularly when the majority of your income comes from member dues or bonuses from signing up other members, particularly when your bosses have enough cash laying around to convince regulators that you aren't a pyramid scheme. And look on the bright side, pyramid and Ponzi schemes are perfect long-run business models as long as we perfect space travel and the expansion of the comsos keeps up with our ability to breed.

This thread just went down a rut.

On topic, I think the average Joe is afraid of TAKING RISKS.
That's one of the main reasons why most Americans' standard of living never improves.

Taking risks is fine if you have a talent or a business plan or if you buy a lottery ticket for a pittance every once in awhile or if you gamble responsibly or if you invest in education. Taking a risk by gambling on a predatory business who's profit model is based on bankrupting it's employees and customers is just stupid.

I am sorry, but I thought as our resident Amway expert this would be elementary to you?? 🙂

I didn't understand it, it seems to have a lot of idiot speak.

I'm no longer talking about Amway.
Why the heck do you keep bringing it up?

I'm talking about the typical American mentality.
For some reason, most are afraid of taking risks.

A good example are the Chinese and the Jews; they are risk takers.
And look at them now.

Henry Sy, a Chinese immigrant, came to the Philippines and used to sell shoes for a living.
Now he's the richest man in the country.
Mark Zuckerberg is a Jewish programmer who took the risk of putting social networking on the map.
Now he's the richest man below 30.
Most of the wealthy people in the Phils. are Chinese, and in the US are Jewish.
Everyone (especially Americans) should draw inspiration to people like them.
People should always have a positive outlook in life, if they want to succeed in anything they do.

Are you done dodging?

If so, then answer this for me:

"I'd like you to explain page A-2 to me.

Amway's a cult with pyramid scheme-like practices and their members are so brainwashed they'll vehemently defend any and all negative accusations against their organization. /facts

And when you have a rich friend who can invest a lot of money into your idea, we all have one of those.

So you're telling us we should strive to be Chinese Jews. Got it.

It doesn't hurt to be female AND half black while being a Chinese Jew.

Trust me.

You're a tranny?

No, I'm a gay, Jewish, half black and half chinese, woman.

Wait, I ammend: I am a third black, a third chinese, and a third Native American.
