Ron Paul being the best man for the job or not, it's a pipe-dream, bruan. He's not making the nomination.

Best you can hope for is Santorum or Romney picking him as a VP(slim chance), so you can vote for him then; mind you, he's still losing most likely losing to Obama.

Possibly 3rd party run; I'd not bet on it though.

Santorums isn't going to make it. It will be Paul vs Romney. Santorum hasnt made the ballot as well as Gingrich on a few states.

Don't think Paul wouldn't settle for vice president either.

I'd like Paul to win; not because I think he'll fix everything while walking on water and curing children of cancer with his farts; just so the "Ron Paul, **** yeah!" crowd will hopefully STFU when he gets in and then reneges/faults on most of his campaign promises and it's US politics back to normal.

I've seen the polls that match up GOP candidates against Obama, they do a few of them every week.

The instances where Republicans, Paul included, beat Obama seem to be the exceptions not the rule.

You also have to be very careful to investigate the sample base and the pollster before you tout any such preliminary results.
